Waitlist

Read more closely.

B, I have already addressed this isssue at the site in question. No need to go on about it, dad.

Yeah, it's looking like the waitlist rejection letters are starting to come in, I just got mine.

Oh well. Who needs Harvard, anyway? ;)

I just got my waitlist rejection letter today, too. Ah well.

University of Maryland, College Park Class of 2010 :-)

ahhh... it's the beginning of the end!!

Hey guys, if you accept a school's offer but still stay on the waiting list of another school, are you bound to go to the school that waitlisted you, provided that you get in?

The answer is no.

Thanks! I was hoping you'd answer :)
I just want to keep my options open for as long as possible.
It is so hard to choose.

Do you have to make a commitment at the time of the call?

No. They usually give you a week or so to decide.

No call, but then again I already committed myself when I wrote the letter. They probably don't need to. Oh, and no rejection letter. I guess I'm still in the running.

i still havent gotten mine.
to thsoe who got rejections, im sorry
but im sure u guys are all going to fine universities.
undergrad means nothing compared to grad school.
chin up, i was fortunate enough to even apply to harvard, coming from korea only 6 yrs ago. i thought it was a gracious opportunity to even apply.

and those who havent heard from them yet, good luck!
post replies when u hear, yeah?

btw, where do u guys live?
i live in so cali
so does that mean it takes longer for the letters to come?

I live in California too, but I hope that's not the reason I haven't gotten anything.

I'm in NJ and got my rejection today. I'm just glad that I don't have to wonder anymore! I never got my hopes up - at all - so I wasn't disappointed. I'm excited to finally know for certain that I will be going to Dartmouth! Congrats to everyone else that did get in. You all deserved it! And to those like me who didn't, congrats anyway - being waitlisted, instead of rejected, by the world's top university should be enough of an honor.

klee, Canaday. i live in so cal too, (LA) and got my rejection letter today. if you guys didnt get it, then i guess you guys are still in the running.
goood luck to both of you!

Tahsinkhan,

Thank you for your congratulations and my condolences on not being accepted. However, you seem to have misunderstood. I live in Northern California. I doubt that matters, as mail gets here at the same time as down there, but I thought I'd clear the misunderstanding up. Anyway, I'm sure whichever college you are attending is an excellent school and I personally will bear no condescension toward you if I am accepted at Harvard. Best wishes.

Cali's cool, but sorry guys, I'm bolting as soon as my parents let me out the gate. Haven't got the rejection letter yet, but I expect it tomorrow if y'all in LA got 'em. So I can't come to Massachusetts, but I will shortly join the ranks of Hoosiers at the glorious institution of IU Bloomington. Fortunately, I like corn.

Anyone else from the waitlist going to a state school? It's a wonderful opportunity to study humanity in action.

Don't count on a rejection, tkm. It may not necessarily come. Oh, and I sympathize on the escaping California bit. No offense to my fellow residents, but I hate it here.

Good luck to those who are still waiting the waitlist letters on Monday!
