yeah, i mean i think it means your in.. i was accepted RD and i had that link and freaked out ect... and everyone who had it ended up getting and and everyone who didn't, well, didn't

wow, I got wait listed as a transfer applicant that is fluently bi lingual and has a 4.0. :S

Anyone know what wait list statistics are for Boston College transfer admissions?

..officially on the wait list yo

yeah, I got waitlisted as well, just filled out the form

i'm confused- is this the waitlist for transfer students?

when is the waitlist decisions for RD students coming out?

not sure but the two of us just got transfer waitlisted

Has anyone heard anything lately? Did all the people with the housing form get in?

Just saw another thread linking to a WSJ article saying that 250 people would be taken off the BC waitlist this year. But where are all the happy postings?!?

^ Out celebrating I guess. Lol

haha exactly! while I keep checking the stupid posts as if the answer will be posted on a CC board. lol

i heard that a new wave of acceptances are being sent out this friday. i also heard that they might extend their waitlist through julyy

So how many people actually have the housing links or whatever, cause I don't have them....I also didn't have them during the RD round, so it's not lookin too good for me.

waiting24 : where did you hear this info?? is it accurate? i heard they already took who they wanted from the waitlist tand they will send out more offers if not people don't accept their offers. I also heard after the next "round," if there is one, they arent taking any more ppl.

my guidance counselor told me. she had a friend i guess in admissions and they said that because a lot of people arent accepting their admissions off the waitlist, its having like a trickle effect and may force them to extend the waitlist deep into the summer.

oh ok well thats great news! i talked to an admissions rep a couple days ago and they said they were still waiting to see how many people accepted their offer, and then if there were any spots available they would make decisions by Monday (as in mailing out letters by Monday). Ahhhh so I still hoping..did you happen to send in your recent grades? i have two B's so Im hesitant to do so, though maybe I should bc they told us too. But i dunno i sent in two letters and my counselor sent one in as well as an alum I know...who knows if that will be enough

do they like you to send extra recommendations?

i dont know i just did i wanted to do anything that would increase my chances, and i know of other people that did. and it cant hurt right?

the waitlist letter specifically says they didn't want any new materials, so idk

well yeah but its really hard to compete with these ppl that have a ton of connections with BC and get in b/c of that..and im not going to not do anything..i really want to go there next year, and i want to show them that i am very interested in them and that i am well qualified and would fit into the environment. ive talked to a couple ppl that have gotten in off the waitlist and they sent extra material, so i dunno..did you guys turn in your grades? i dont know if i should w/ two B's...what do you think?

Dear NicolieMarie : Do you want to talk about it or do you want to show some real initiative? Get into your train, plane, or automobile and meet with Admissions on the campus. Bring everything with you - right down to your financial data. If you really want BC, now is the time for a full court press, not a "what do you think" thread on College Confidential. Make it happen, don't talk about it.
