I just got waitlisted from the business school at Georgetown today and even though this does not really effect my college decision because Notre Dame is my dream school and top choice it does make me very dissapointed and I feel like my chances at Notre Dame have been severely damaged.

At my school, which is Jesuit, there is a notion that ND and GTown are both extremely hard to get into, but GTown is actually a little bit easier than ND. Is this a myth or is this the truth? Do I still have a shot at Notre Dame after a wait-list at GTown?

(by the way my stats are posted on the Georgetown admissions thread but i have a 2250 SAT/4.24 GPA etc)

Yes, Irish I do go to a Ohio Jesuit School.

You bring up an interesting point with the acceptance percentages. Since I was waitlisted at GTown, and I heard about 10 % are, that means i probably was in the 21-30 % category of Gtown applicants... If ND has a similar applicant pool (which my counselor said they do), 21-30 percent there would be an acceptance. I know admissions are random and everything, but at least I'm hoping... Hopefully i'll hear from ND soon.

Blue06, we either go to the same school or you go to Cleveland St.I. With that said, I can tell you that the two Ohio Jesuit high schools are two of the biggest feeders to ND every year. That can only help you. A 2250 from a Jesuit school like either of the Ohio ones should easily get you in.

I do go to St. Ignatius in Cleveland... which Ohio Jesuit do you go to: Cinci St. Xavier or Toledo St. John's??? I hope you are right about the SAT thing but I'm still extremely nervous after the GTown waitlist.
