Waitlisted Students - what additional materials are you submitting?

Recs? Updates?

I'll send an EC update and maybe an additional rec. Will Dartmouth consider 2nd semester grades? It appears that they inform most students on the waitlist in late May-early June, and I don't think my school will have grades out by then.

Also, would it be helpful for me to mention that I would definitely attend Dartmouth if accepted off the waitlist? I am going to deposit at Virginia, a school I love, but would go to Dartmouth if accepted

I’ve been waitlisted at a few schools and am planning on submitting a small update to each - just some EC stuff. Most of my schools told me additional recs would be unnecessary.

I’ve gathered from past waitlist threads on CC that you should definitely mention that you’ll enroll if accepted.

Anyway… good luck! I got WLed at my top 3 (actually, my top 5, if I think about it) and am going to try my hardest to get accepted at one or two of them. And if it’s any consolation to you, there are several cross-admits on the Dartmouth FB group who are leaning toward other schools. There’s hope yet! :)

Really quick - from an old Crimson article:

Thanks!

Anyone have an answer to the part about grades? My grades have dipped quite a bit (from all A’s throughout HS to a few projected B+'s at the end of second semester). Like I said, I’m not sure if my final grades will be sent by the time Dartmouth informs me of my decision.
