Hi Lexie! My son is waitlisted this year for Vandy’s Engineering School. My daughter was rejected ED at Vandy last year, and she attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering this past year. She has been quite homesick, and has now applied as a transfer student to Vandy. I am curious if you might have similar transfer statistics to those you posted for waitlisted students? Thanks!

caratpatch,
you should be able to find the data you need on the Common Data Set:https://virg.vanderbilt.edu/virgweb/CDSD.aspx?year=2011
Good luck to your daughter!

I got waitlisted too. I just visited Vandy over spring break and it might be my favorite college among all of the ones I’ve visited over the past year. Right now, I need to decide between Tulane and Pitt, neither of which am I very enthusiastic about. I really hope I get in.

Twopence, I think you are right. Acceptances here at Tufts, Berkeley, WUSTL but waitlisted at Vandy. I think they are filling a lot of their class with the EDI and EDII and much less on the RD.

Hi!

I live outside of Pitt and I want to assure you that it is a wonderful school with a plethora of options.I know that it does seems like a private school on paper, but in person, it offers a lot for an undergraduate. Options academically, with an especially strong science and pre med program. There are lots of food options surrounding the campus, plenty of shopping, cute, college friendly bars, many churches and awesome sports teams in the fall and winter - Steelers and Penguins!!!

In the initial waitlist email, it said emails would be sent periodically in April, but I have yet to receive any. I was wondering if any of you have, in case there is an issue with my email address.

I have received none so far…

Are there any published stats on how many were wait listed at Vandy this year? Add my DD to the list of those wait listed… not holding our breath… but would definitely figure out how to go/pay if she got in.

Any other waitlistees nervous about housing/roommate situations if admitted to Vanderbilt? The suspense of having to wait another few weeks is killing me! I have deposited at Tulane but am so in love with Vanderbilt I’d probably transfer my sophomore year!

Has anyone gotten any other emails about still staying on the waitlist? I’ve only gotten one, and wanted to make sure that I didn’t miss out on any others.

CMR-I might do the same thing. Still deciding between Tulane and Pitt.

they prob won’t communicate with you till they have fully assessed their yield first week of May. You can read the official Vandy admissions blog which might be nice to do and go to this time last year to follow the waitlist summer cycles…although year to year can be quite different. With Vanderbilt’s good need aid, many students will not get better deals. But for those paying full freight, families may opt for other merit offers or honors programs at flagship colleges.

I just got an e-mail from them asking if I’m still interested in remaining on the waitlist! Be sure to check your e-mail! It’s due back to them May 2nd!

^ i’m in the exact same boat, deposited at tulane but vanderbilt has been my number one choice for years i really really hope i get into vandy because i’m really not all that enthusiastic about Tulane :(

Good luck to everyone on the waitlist! Decisions will be coming soon! :)

Did you guys get an automatic reply back from the recent update? I’ve been freaking out a bit because I didn’t get a confirmation email.

i didnt get a confirmation email either…if anyone hears anything please post! im dying over here!

to the two previous posters: there was no confirmation email. I filled out my reply the day it was emailed to us, and did not receive one. However, I got in today—so clearly, they received my response form.

My boyfriend just got off the waitlist!
