I sent in my 1st term grades already like it asked and intend on sending my 2nd term grades too even though they didnt ask.

i would guess get more recommendations in if you can.

i would definitely say send in ur 2nd term grades, thats probly the best thing to do. recommendations wouldnt hurt either but make sure you dont overdo it seeing as how no recommendation is needed in the first place. just keep up ur good work and the best of luck to you.

I would submit two teacher recommendations and depending how bad you want to go possibly a letter of interest.

Well I sent in my letter of interest today. I'm going to be asking one of my teachers I had for my college english class for a recommendation and ask him if he can write about how i succeeded in his college class.

Does anybody have any idea when most waitlist decisions are made or what percent get admitted off the weightlist? My waitlist letter also told me that I'm being considered to the access to success program if that makes a difference.

My counselor told me that April 1st they take approx 500 off the waitlist and then 500 more April 15th at least for CLA(?)
not sure if that's college specific or not. I don't know the rate of people accepting admission, so it's hard to pinpoint that.
I am going to be so sick of waiting... ugh

Hmm I applied to cla and food and natural one. I'm really sick of waiting though. I applied before september 15th so they started mine right on the 15th.
I didn't hear back till about 10.5 weeks after that and only to find out I got waitlisted.

Argh....I wish they could just make a decision now, I already sent in my deposit to Michigan State since it was my #2 school and I got in. I really don't feel like going into that much debt from OOS tuition (woohoo for reciprocity from MN).

MNgirl..did your counsler tell you how many actully get postponed to CLA?

i'm guessing that 1,000+ must be for the whole school
if theres approx 7,000 freshmen so 1,000 off the waitlist seems right for the whole school?
I don't want to get into numbers and statistics lol too much studying for finals
so no, I guess she didn't tell me the exact CLA numbers, or maybe she did. I am just confusing myself, I'm sorry! :)
Everybody has been telling me that I'll get in though so I'm not really that worried even though maybe I should be
(stats 26 ACT 3.6-3.7 UW 4.0-4.1 W GPA)

So I tried calling the admissions counselor for my region and after a series of questions of who I am, they said they'd just leave him a message.

The girl asked if I was calling to see why I was waitlisted, which I already know is because my grades/ACT aren't the greatest. I wanted to ask questions about other things and she worded it like I'd be able to leave my own message for him but all of a sudden the phone call was over and I was just like huh. They said he'd call me in a few days but that probably won't work out the greatest if I'm sitting in school when he calls.

I was just postponed as well. I already sent 3 recommendation letters, so should I just send my grades, or would another letter help? I have one teacher who I know would write an amazing essay about me, but I don't want to overdo the rec letters.

3 should be fine. I have one out and another teacher is writing one for me right now. I think I might ask for another one still
