Wake Forest Class of 2025 — Regular Decision

i think if i dont receive an email by monday i might change my email address im not really sure what to do

First you will get an email with a subject line that says “Wake Forest University Payment Succeeded” Then a day later you should get an email from Wake Tech Help telling you how to setup your email and WIN account. I’m guessing you will get everything Monday.

do you happen to know how long it takes to receive email once you’ve paid deposit?

I’ll try and research it. We were accepted on Fri the 18th, and our payment email was on the 22nd, followed by Wake Tech Help on the 23rd. I’m just not sure if I paid the $1500 that day, over the weekend, or that following Monday.

thank you so much for always replying. I am so grateful for your help!!!

You are very welcome. All the families and students have been so great us in this process and I’m just passing it on.

So I edited my post. We actually found out on Fri Dec 18. I checked my credit card and I paid the deposit on the 22nd which was during the week so that may have sped things up. Since no one is in admissions over the weekends that may be the delay for you.

ok great. hoping to hear something from them on monday!

You aren’t missing much. You get your WIN account which has all your payment info and other stuff, and you setup your Wake gmail account. Check out this website and do that Family Record Form. https://parents.wfu.edu/my-student-is/incoming/ Parents Weekend is Oct 1-3. I made hotel reservations for move-in weekend and every possible weekend there could have been a football game prior to the schedule coming out just to be sure. Hotels filled up quick but I’m sure there are some rooms left somewhere. I would consider making them now for move-in weekend and Parents Weekend before it gets worse.

Thank you!

Wow she must be insanely smart if she applied to Emory as a safety. I know people with 36 ACTs that have been denied at Emory even in ED

Anybody know how to make a WF 2025 Waitlist page and/or is there any interest?

Maybe I worded or punctuated that poorly. She has excellent stats, but I don’t think Emory is a safety for anyone. It was a match school for her, and she applied to appease me as we live nearby.

I would definitely join. You go to the forums home page and create a new topic.

I would join as well.

I would like that

To any parents of recently accepted WF students, I implore you to let the spot go if your child isn’t going to go there. There are kids who are desperately waiting for a spot. I can’t believe how many kids on the accepted page have said they are accepted but haven’t decided yet. My daughter would accept in a nanosecond and be thrilled to go! When these kids post that, it’s heartbreaking for the kids who would love the spot.

I understand your point. But the truth is that not all decisions are out yet and some kids need to have them all in hand before deciding. Wake is not my D’s first choice, but it could become it if Rice or Cornell reject her. So she can’t decline the WF offer without hearing from them first. Also, we are very much contingent on the financial aid offer. And we have not received that from Wake yet. If they come with a good one, maybe they go to the top of the list.
My D has received FA packages that are so different, they do not follow any logic. So we NEED to wait and see, because you never know.
I had her decline from the ones that are not going to be possible because the packages were lame and completely unaffordable for us. But similar schools came with great packages, so we need to hold on to those until the last minute in case the missing schools don’t happen. I understand what you say, but we are not holding on to spots just for being mean, it’s just a question of having all offers on the table and decide what to do. I can promise that, as soon as something is not doable, I will have my D decline. It is the fair thing to do, of course.

I appreciate your response. I understand if you don’t have all the facts you need yet to make the decision. I’m referring to people who might have everything the require, but just haven’t said no yet.

Wake just released on Friday, only a few days ago, people need to breathe. Note that on the WL decision reply page, Wake says not to expect any WL news until May at the soonest.

Wondering how people feel about the 24-hour turnaround time for accepting a WL offer from Wake? I think that’s a challenge without having visited. And yet it doesn’t make sense to visit as a waitlisted student, when that involves a plane flight, no tour, getting on campus the back way thru the woods, etc., might not even be accepted, and have a short time this month to visit the schools they were actually accepted to.
