If we are waitlisted, is it better to contact your regional/alphabetical admission officer or go straight to the dean of admission? I’ve heard different answers
Gfdgthgfd, my daughter got almost the same good test scores like yours. She is in the top 1% out of 1525 in one of the top 1% of high schools of America. She just got rejected to UT Engineering Honor and waitlist at Wash U. She was told by her counselor Wash U was one of her reached schools. We are also Asians. So angry and frustrated.
The affirmative action never works. Colleges say they use it but who knows, their decision is confidential. I am also on waitlist and yet they don’t consider that I just came to the U.S. without speaking any English for 6 years and right now I am a valedictorian. I am Vietnamese
^I don’t think Asian or affirmative action is the issue here. My D has similar scores as you all have mentioned, attends a top hs, and is in the top 5% of her class. She is AA. WL also. I’m hoping that you all have other good choices and can move on.
Waitlisted as well, 2260 SAT with 6 leadership positions and other EC’s, a bit bummed because they were my 3rd choice and ii thought it’d be a high match. Didn’t show much interest but still mane
Also, this is a WL thread for the CO18. I don’t know if one of you would make a new WL thread for the CO19 before this one becomes too long.
