Where do you get water? I know this sounds like a funny question, but where do we get water? Do we need to buy water bottles or something?

Umm... Los Angeles does have a water system.

Several months something did happen to the water system and for a few days there was poor water in Westwood, however typically speaking Los Anglese does have safe drinking water.

With that said, I only drink bottled water. :)

Oh I meant in the dorms. Sorry about the confusion

UCLA has no water. Only juice and beer;)

Score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

in all seriousness tho, I would think that maybe there are drinking fountains near the community bathrooms? I don't know, wild guess here. I know there are drinking fountains around campus tho cuz I saw a few during a tour

Yes there are drinking fountains near the restrooms (here in Dykstra at least - I forget about Sproul)

But I only drink bottled as well, so I usually just keep a case under my bed.

During the middle of Winter Quarter this year there was a reservoir leak in one of the West LA/Westwood water systems, causing groundwater to seep in, making the tap water undrinkable and showers unusable for a day while the pipes were replaced.

I'm too cheap to buy bottled water for my everyday drinking needs, and if you're like me, I suggest investing in a water filter. I just go to the nearest drinking fountain (already filtered) and fill my Brita pitcher with that water for double the filtration goodness.

I will use water bottles, I still have'nt got the knack of drinking from the water fountains :) thw water goes into my nose and the cold water hurt my teeth.aaaaahhhhhhhh.

Thanks flopsy! Great idea. I'm gonna get myself one of those big brita pitchers =)

Beer has water and other nutrients so I'm good with that...and it comes in various flavors. ;)

Sproul does too.

Many people bring in cases of bottled water or have a brita pitcher.
