Wave your hands in the air if it's SUBLIME that you don't care!

@elsaphant - Mean -> Average means the Mathematical Average, not the plain/common -> average.

ooooh now i see. thanks timothy

crap
base:morally low; without estimable personal qualities; dishonorable; meanspirited; selfish; cowardly.

i put stingy because it was opposite of the words in the next sentence-- i saw it as comparing mean to nice, so what is "mean" in this situation

and the area one: there was one that listed all the countries, and another that listed the *area of all the countries, which i really think is the correct one.

crap i didn't put a literary reference in essay, but i did do 2 historical refs. it actually was an enjoyable topic

the only math one i had trouble on was the one with all those circles, and i'm not sure why it was hard for me at the time...

What did you guys get for the last math question on one of the sections.. it was like out of 30 students how many just know how to speak Italian.. or something like that..

I put base? :</p>

COWARDLY?
How would that fit?

This question is still findmucking me.
Oh whatever.
Let's hope there's a huge curve now. ^_^

@math - I put 9...
It was either that or 15.

I put 9...
It was either that or 15.

ooh, i guess it is base then. the math one with the circles wasn't that bad..you just subtract the area of the big circle from the area of the circle that was second to smallest.

i put 9 too. it was a guess though

i seriously could not solve that one...how did you get 9 (or 15)? i dont even remember if i put an answer or omitted that one lol.

i think i put 6.

6 only italian, 9 only german
therefore there will be 15 that speak both and 6+9=15?

maybe i put 9, i don't remember

Well, lets do it now ;P. It was 30 students, some took both, some took italian, some took german. 2 times those who took italian took german. (I don't remember what you had to answer was, I think you had to add something together?)

Edit, see below, I'm probably wrong.

I think the number of students who took german was 3 more than the number that took italian.

Also, I have a question about the distance one, it seemed so easy, but I got 17 miles, and that wasn't one of the choices :|

Okay, I made a venn diagram...

It said Total students = 30.
German and Italian and both, right.
No. of people who took Italian were the same no. of people who took both subjects.
And people who took one subject were 3 more than the people who took the other one.

Then I plugged in numbers...
If 9 people took Italian, then 9 people took both German and Italian, So people who took German was 18+3 = 21. And 21+9=30.

I don't know if that makes any sense... but I'm hoping 9 is right. :(

the total of the people speaking german was three times, ?? I think, the total of the people that knew Italian. Yeah.. I did not know that problem... I just decided to leave it blank rather than risk getting it wrong..

Stingy fits. It means something barren. And we were told that the sublime landscape is vast and repetitious like the ocean (that was the answer to one of the other questions)

And yes, this text was easy. If you think this is hard, you should check out the latest Dec test. The CR text were so hard it was illegal!

a total of 21 ppl taking italian and 24 people taking german
total of 15 people taken both so
21-15 =6

llol, ur vast and repetitious landscape is actually quite "barren" -- which means lifeless

yeah i think it was german = italian +3.

the number of students taking only german or italian had to equal the # of students taking both.
