I am so nervous to find out that I even considered emailing them and pushing back from EE to RD. My nerves are killing me so much and next week is not only the decisions week but my birthday week, and the week my final IB mock examinations start. Eeek, praying for a yes! I hope it goes well for all of us
all of you seem amazing!!! I’m officially freaking out over here- decisions are out on tuesday morning, and my IB mock exams start on Thursday…eco and english HL :-SS :-SS :-SS
@menongirl Oh cool I do econs and English HL as well. Coincidentally, my first mock is also English HL. I’m from Ghana and my expected major was History and maybe Political Science and gender& sexuality studies. I’m interested in development issues especially pertaining to girls’ education. How about you?
Good luck to everyone. D is also an IB student who applied EE. She finished her extended essay on Tuesday, phew, that was a relief, now on to exams for her as well…here’s hoping the IB gives you all a leg up!
@cookielyons I want to double major in Eco and English. I want to become a management consultant, and I’m interested in the whole Sheryl Sandberg Lean In movement…
:x
I’m doing the IB too!
English, Psychology and History HL
Spanish, Math and Chemistry SL
No idea what I want to major in though haha, and my mocks start the week after @menongirl so I feel your pain
Ugh I’m jealous you guys know what you want to major in. I have no idea D: So excited for EE decisions!
@GB1904 don’t worry…even I’m oscillating a little bit about whether I might at some point want to be a lawyer :-S
@menongirl
If you use a word like oscillating in casual conversation, i think you’ll get a likely.
ha ha :))
I really hope so, but I really doubt it :-SS
just wondering, what did you all write your supplement about?
@menongirl same! Like I love science but I’d also love to be a lawyer, but there are waaaaay more people with law degrees than jobs so I don’t know if that’d even be smart, plus so much paperwork, and then like ya know English is cool too…ugh that’s why I hope I get into Wellesley, so I don’t have to decide until sophomore year (:
@GB1904 I think all the colleges in the USA give you a lot of flexibility in terms of major so thats not an issue- I’m sure you’ll rock anything you do
Like I’ve gotten into some great schools, and as a feminist and woman I feel like I’m obliged to go into STEM, but I really suck at physics and it takes me a while to fully comprehend math, so I’m in a total muddle right now.
@rainyears I wrote about the library and Lulu. you?
@rainyears Limitlessness of educational options and We got you
@rainyears WZLY (“We Want The Airwaves”) and The Tanner Conference what about you?
So it’s like 30 hours away… GOOD LUCK YOU GUYS!
@menongirl oh sure, but at least with lib arts colleges you have more time and can take plenty of classes outside your major (:
@rainyears I wrote about the Ruhlman conference and the Whitin observatory
24-hour shakes and visiting campus!
Don’t choose STEM because you are a feminist. Do what you love and support other women who love STEM!
^ exactement! =D>
