Wellesley CO 2015 EE/RD Thread

Last book I read was “Jane Eyre.” Who is your most inspiring female role model?

@curbyourfear: ah okey dokey! I sometimes tend to forget that the population on here is majorly american and tend to get offended at posts that didn’t even concern me in the first place. :o We Indian applicants fit that description of yours so well though hah. Not like we have a choice though.

Favorite female role model? Is it just me, but i always go blank when questions like this come up! I hated princeton’s supp that way haha. I’d go with Helen Keller though. Also Sara Crewe from ‘a little princess’ by Frances Hogsdon Burnett.

What’s your favorite outfit! (i CAN answer this one! :D)

*hodgson .

@ GarfieldGirl, ahh I’m sorry you were offended! I admire internationals so much. My school is competitive, but I can’t even imagine what your academic atmosphere must be like. You seem like a wonderful applicant and Wellesley would be lucky to have you! :D

Ugh I really wish I had more taste/put more effort into my attire, especially at school. My favorite outift would thus have to be worn jeans and a Gap sweater. I also really adore grandma sweaters, you know, those frumpy, knitted concoctions that are simultaneously old-fashioned and hip.

You’re eating lunch with Lady Gaga. What do you ask her?

oh, I wasn’t very offended at all dw! My school is okay to tough competition wise, but I’m not really competing with them admissions wise, not many apply abroad; the awesome applicants here come from all over the country although my city is the main feeder.
Haha, here we have to wear uniforms for school, but my favourite outfit would have been a pair of shorts and a tee (preferably baggy) if we had the option of casuals here because that’s mostly what I wear otherwise (yes, it’s amazingly warm here mostly:D). But then my choices vary wildly sometimes so if it had been some other day, I’d probably have said something really girly haha. I think that grandma sweater choice of yours sounds really cute though! I love those types. Isn’t Wellesley called the school where (quoting from a post i saw earlier)‘the girls all still wear the sweater-skirt-stocking combination’? Not that I understand the stereotype. :stuck_out_tongue:
what’s wrong with the combination anyway? Doesn’t sound all that bad!

Why would I be having lunch with lady gaga anyway? :stuck_out_tongue:
I’d probably ask her where she gets her weird outfit ideas from. (and yes, i do realise that in the past few posts I seem to be obsessed with outfits haha.)
Which country would any of you visit if you had the option of going wherever you wished?

I would go to Australia or New Zealand!
I’m so tired with all the business/stress in my life right now, I would totally go to somewhere green and warm and just REST!

jess- we’re playing a ‘game’ where the poster above you asks a question and you answer it and ask another question. : )
so ask a question next time. XD

I’d go to Japan. I went for a month two years ago and I really miss the convenient train system. haha

What’s the weather like right now?

Really muggy, really humid, and drizzling slightly.

What song are you currently obsessed with?

I’m currently in love with Born this Way ; p

what is the food you dislike the most?

I don’t hate anything. Omnivorous.

What is one thing you are definitely going to do/want to do before age 23?

I am most definitely going to get a bachelor’s degree before I’m 23. HAHAHAHAHA.

What is your favorite salad dressing?

mustard counts, right?

Favorite TV show?

GLEE. I embrace the horribly awkward cheesiness and bad script and weird song choice and melodrama. all the tv I watch is either like that or reality TV, because TV is how I relax after being burnt out from school. If I want to think I’ll read a book

What class are you most looking forward to taking in college?

Korean!!!

What is your favorite kind of cheese?

Pepper jack DEFINITELY!

@peachesncream: Why Korean? (I’m Korean by the way =P )

Favorite book?

Pretty much anything I’m currently reading that’s good.
East of Eden, Steinbeck.

kenzie1992- Glee’s writing and plot annoys me so much but I still fast forward through it to listen to the songs. nice justification, haha.

What are your plans for this summer?

To relax and hang out with my friends~ Possibly a trip to Cali or vacay to NC^^

@jessih92: Well I got into the whole Kpop/kdrama thing in the beginning of the school year, and its not that I’m addicted (well maybe a little… or a lot) but I really like it. Plus I think Korea is a pretty awesome, with all of the traditions and history. It’s on the top of my list to travel to and you know of course, go stalk some famous celebs^^ Do you speak Korean?

What other lagnauges do you speak, if any?

Urdu

What kind of music do you like?=)

My music taste runs the gamut from Kanye West to Lady Gaga to Tegan and Sara to Lily Allen to Mumford & Sons (their new album is AMAZING). Being from the South, I try my hardest to at least tolerate country music; however, I usually have a difficult time with this. :)

What is your favorite class this year and why?

I used to REALLY like physics (until last year) and then Senior year physics turned…kinda TOO hard. I like all my classes to be honest, so I don’t have a favorite anymore  If I had to choose one, STUDY HALL? LOLz

@peach: Very cool! Yes I do speak Korean (very fluently ^^ ), I lived in Korea for almost 11 years (I still live here) , and in America for 8. I’m pretty much addicted to Korean dramas as well. =P What’s your favorite drama? If you don’t mind answering, where are you from?

The meanest thought you’ve ever had? ;)
