guys! I have a question for all. Can you guys see the “ACT requirement” section in Wellesley portal’s Wellesley College Application Information Summary? I was convinced that ACT was not required; wasn’t that just a choice between SAT and ACT? Why does it appear as Requirement?

I know it’s just tiny thing but still bothers me.

@catonthestreet:
It states on the portal that “SAT I (Critical Reading, Math, and Writing) and two SAT IIs OR ACT are required.” If you check the line underneath this one, it’ll say whether or not your testing requirements are complete (in all caps).

Also, I talked with an admissions counselor, and she said you just need either the SAT 1 + SAT II’s or just the ACT. (or send both if you have them!)

So if you took the SAT reasoning and two subject tests, you are totally fine!

I’m excited! and pretty anxious and scared at the same time.
The results come out on the 15th right?
That’s the day after all my final exams. eeeek

I’m extremely excited yet nervous at the same time…I even made a pros and cons list of why Wellesley wants me and why they wouldn’t lol so paranoid at this point
but omg 18 days is not coming fast enough! I’ve been having nightmares of admission officers reading my app and voting on it D:

I know right sinfused?! It’s like… they could have already started reading your app and began thinking about whether or not they want you… And you never know when it’s happening!

don’t worry sista, same here. I haven’t prepared for any other apps either…and same thing with school haha I’m just doing my minimal work to keep the As and that’s it. Can’t focus on perfecting anything any more.

I feel like we’re in some kind of weird time warp. Time is standing still until Wellesley decides whether my kid is a good fit for their school.

When I think of her being rejected and having to fill out a whole bunch of applications to other schools over winter break, it’s horrible. Then, my mind shifts and I imagine her relaxing and celebrating her acceptance to Wellesley over winter break. The vase or the faces. It’s nightmarish.

She and I both hate suspense, and we hate surprises. We try to plan ahead so that everything works out as we would like. But this is something we can’t control. The die is cast.

yeah I know what you mean…
I kind of wish Wellesley would send out periodic messages through either email or the portal saying “We’re 1/3 way through reviewing the applications!” or something like that. Not knowing anything makes me nervous D:
I’m also terrified that they might be missing my 1st quarter grades since it doesn’t show on the portal…what if I missed one of their emails asking for the material!!! AHHHH

Oh gosh I definitely agree. Thoughts sporadically appear in my head throughout the day, wondering if they received my interview report or my quarter grades as well.

Well, right now I’m just waiting in excitement as the day draws nearer and nearer… Especially since questbridge applicants get their decisions on Wednesday!

LOL no worries, that’s pretty cool for your friends~~ i can’t imagine how happy I would be if I could know by this Wednesday haha
these 16 days are going to be soooo long~
hopefully the wait will be worth it for all of us!!
