What are my chances of getting into University of Michigan (LSA)

Hey there;
I’m reaching the end of my freshman year and I really want to get into Michigan. I feel like I have screwed up my freshman year (unweighted GPA 3.7) (I got a B in IB English 9 both semesters and a B in Geometry in one semester) and my chances of getting into Michigan. I actually know nothing about colleges and university applications, and I want to know if I even have a chance of getting into the school, and if I do what would I need to do.

Here are some things about me:

  • I am an active Eagle Scout
  • I am doing IB and AP psychology (I have an A+ average)
  • I have accumulated over 300 volunteer hours, a quarter of which was in an AFC Hospital
  • I have taken the regular ACT test once through the Duke Talent Identification Program in 7th grade and got a 26
  • I have been playing the Guitar for over 9 years now
  • I have also been playing Basketball for over 9 years now.
  • I am in my school’s JROTC Program

IB was supposed to be very hard this year, but I decided to take it again next year because upperclassmen at my school have told me that it is a lot easier.

Any feedback and goals I should have are appreciated

Also, I should mention that I am an out of state student in Alabama

I also forgot to add that I am a part of my school’s math and debate team

Once you take the regular act or sat come back and ask. Keep doing good work like your doing and do activities you enjoy for 3-4 years. Consistency is key. Way to early to do chances. Make your summers meaningful even if it’s just getting a job.
