Hey there;
I’m reaching the end of my freshman year and I really want to get into Michigan. I feel like I have screwed up my freshman year (unweighted GPA 3.7) (I got a B in IB English 9 both semesters and a B in Geometry in one semester) and my chances of getting into Michigan. I actually know nothing about colleges and university applications, and I want to know if I even have a chance of getting into the school, and if I do what would I need to do.
Here are some things about me:
- I am an active Eagle Scout
- I am doing IB and AP psychology (I have an A+ average)
- I have accumulated over 300 volunteer hours, a quarter of which was in an AFC Hospital
- I have taken the regular ACT test once through the Duke Talent Identification Program in 7th grade and got a 26
- I have been playing the Guitar for over 9 years now
- I have also been playing Basketball for over 9 years now.
- I am in my school’s JROTC Program
IB was supposed to be very hard this year, but I decided to take it again next year because upperclassmen at my school have told me that it is a lot easier.
Any feedback and goals I should have are appreciated
