Hello, I'm currently a student at a community college in Texas. My family moved to Texas when the economy crumbled, I decided to go back to school and I'm currently enrolled in a local community college.

Currently, my GPA is a 3.0, basically, I'm poor and when I enrolled my first semester, they messed up my financial aid, I couldn't buy my books on time, I tried to play catch-up and work and it was a disaster. I'm re-taking the two classes I failed that first semester in the Spring, so hopefully my GPA will creep back up into the 3.8 range. I have 24 credits right now.

I'm concerned with attempting to get into a good college in Texas because the requirements, standards, and overall pool of students I think will place me at a disadvantage.

I'd like to possibly go back to Tennessee and apply to UT-Knoxville or reach for the stars and apply to Vandy.

What are my chances ?

Edit: I'm almost 30, I don't have SAT scores, and I'll be trying to get in as a transfer.
