Hey everybody, I am a resident of Quebec so the schooling system is a little different. I am currently in grade 10 and am going to finish high school in Quebec at grade 11. After doing so, I plan on applying to grade 11 (redoing it) at some prep schools like Exeter (long shot), St Paul's, Milton, Taft and maybe Concord. I was wondering what my chances looked like. I am very luck to say that my family is capable of paying for the tuition.

Academics:

The main issue here is my drop in marks for grade 9 due to my many absences due to illness (nothing serious, just a pneumonia and a few strep throats and flues) and a concussion. I know it sounds like a terrible excuse, but it's the truth and I hope the schools understand. My highest marks were always Math and Science at high 90's, but French and French History really brought my marks down (this trend is consistent throughout my years).

Grade 7: Average 89
Grade 8: Average 88
Grade 9: Average 84 (concussion and many sicknesses)
Grade 10: Estimate 90
Grade 11: Estimate 90

I expect to get really good recommendations and score quite high on my SSAT's. Also, I'm great at interviews and essays.

Extra Curricular:

I've played many sports (most of which for a few years) including:
Basketball
Football
Wrestling
Squash
Track

I've also been a part of the debating team and a theatre production (a main role) and played the clarinet and oboe.

Other:

I've been on a service work trip in the dominican republic for a week and during a summer, I studied at Cambridge with the Oxbridge program.

This is everything I can think of off the top of my head, if you wouldn't mind to let me know what my chances look like, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
