What are my options?

I am currently a business major at a top 10 undergraduate business school. This fall will be the start of my junior year, but I will technically be a second semester junior (AP credits).

I attempted to transfer a few months ago, but was rejected -- I applied to Yale and Dartmouth.

I would like to transfer my spring semester, but I am not sure if I have too many units to transfer. Is it possible to transfer to a good school this late? If not, would I be elligible if I take this upcoming semester (or year) off?

Thanks for your help.

If you had the stats to even be considered at Dartmouth and Yale, finish the year and a half and grduate at the top of your class, work a few years and then go for a top MBA.

Yeah, I agree with hmom5. Coming from a top 10 business program with the stats to potentially get into Dartmouth and Yale should provide many opportunities upon graduating and then MBA programs. And it seems many schools want transfer students to spend at least 2 years at their school, so you would likely loose at least a semester worth of credit.

Thanks for your help.

I thought I had a chance – 3.95 GPA, 2 years of great work experience (worked 20 hours / week during my freshman year), involved in a few really interesting EC’s, recs saying I was ranked #1 out of 200+ students, etc.

In hindsight, I should have applied to a few more schools. I did not realize how much I wanted to transfer until I submitted my application.

Does anyone else have any input?
