What are the best apartments at UCR?

On and off campus

bump

(that’s right, right? I wanna know the same thing)

Good question. Someone spill some info please??

I think all apartments that are owned by UCR are super overpriced. There are second years that sometimes live at pentland… there’s also glenmor… both are not worth the price… at all. Dorms are COSTLY. I’d avoid living in them… unless you’re a first year, of course.

Look for private apartments! Campus crossing, I heard, is really nice… but it’s really expensive. Timbers and Park Hill have pretty decent prices… but they don’t have really good reviews. Everyone has different experiences though. You’re going to have to go take a look at the apartments around school and decide for yourself.

To me, the cheaper it is, the better… unless the place is REALLY ghetto or something. Why don’t you consider living in a house with some friends? It could be a cheaper, better alternative.

I don’t know anyone going to UCR. I was thinking about living off campus before I got the brochure about the on campus apartments. The only thing i’m really worried about is being busted for pot or drinking. They seem pretty cool and something good for me because I won’t really know anyone. I just hope my roommate is down to earth. Anyway, your post doesn’t answer my question. I want to know the stereotypes (if there are any) of the apartments. For instance, the quiet one, the party one, etc…

^^ Are you a guy or a girl? If you’re a girl, you should room with me, I don’t know anyone either! :)

definitely not a girl

@ dointhecockroach; When did you even ask a question in this thread? I was answering mrqwerty’s question.

Anyway, there are no real stereotypes for apartments. Apartments are apartments. The usual categories are expensive, cheap, great to live in, or terrible to live in. Stereotypes are mostly for dorms.

@jenuwin01 you’re right, I didn’t post a question on this board, I just bumped the original one. I’ve started other topics about this on here though. If there are no stereotypes of the apartments, perhaps you can just tell me a little bit about them if you lived there. I was looking at Falkirk. I really want to know if its private or you still feel like you’re living in a dorm? It seems like they are sort of a bad price, but it would be good for someone like me who won’t really know anyone to move in with. I just hope that they choose a cool roommate for me.

Yeah I’ve been looking at Falkirk too. Or Stonehaven? Any reviews? I just got my housing information packet in the mail and since I haven’t heard back from other schools yet I’m pretty much set on going to UCR. Or I’m just gonna start planning for that already and if I do get into my top choice school I guess I’ll go there.

I live in LA, so i’m going to take the metrolink out to riverside in the next couple of weeks to check out the apartments. I think I like Falkirk the best and I don’t know about a second choice yet. What initially attracted me to Falkirk was that the dude in the picture for Falkirk in the housing brochure seems like he’d be pretty easy to get along. Its really hard to find pictures of the apartments online and more info beyond what they sent out. Riverside needs to update their housing site a bit.

@cockroach hahahaha that’s hilarious

Yeah maybe we’ll be neighbors at Falkirk lol

I live like 35 minutes away from Riverside so I’m gonna head up there this weekend to look at the apartments

Does anyone know about the international village?

It seems like they are in a good location, but you have to live at least two other people.

That’s not true, you can live with just another person, but it seems pretty expensive.

From what I saw online, the international village offers single room apartments.

yeah, I was just answering from memory. You’re right, you can live by yourself there, but there are less options for types of rooms if you are going to find another person. I really want a current or recently former student to comment of here about what the apartments are like and how easily you can get busted for stuff.

I went today and Falkirk seemed like the best apartments to me. I spoke to two girls who said they liked it a lot there and although there are some rules, you still feel like you have your own place.

All the on campus apartments still have RA’s and from what I’ve heard, campus apartments are completely full, Falkirk being one of the first to fill.

say what? where did you hear that?
