What do you overachievers wear (fashion)?

jeans, cute shirt, white tennis joes

Khakis, Polos, Button Downs, Clarks, Sperry's.

My favorite brands are Ralph Lauren, J. Crew, and Brooks Brothers.

I live off of Banana Republic and Express.
They're the only brand that fits short people nicely.
I love hollister too, but lately their quality and style have been going down the drain. Abercrombie's alright, but for the price, you'll get better quality and better fitting clothes at Banana and Express.

haha. This thread makes me smile. I'm impressed that you guys have time and fashion sense. I usually wear a big sweatshirt, gap jeans, and ugly gym shoes. :)

Most of the other overachievers here are preppy/rich.

I really don't care about appearance sort of stuff- I do well enough with the type of physical things that can't be changed (I'm reasonably decent looking without a ton of makeup, etc.). I'm a jeans + whatever shirt is clean type of person. Sure, I have some stuff that's a little more girly and sometimes I put in the extra effort, but usually I just don't care. It's partly due to the fact that I'm not really interested in any of the guys in my classes so I don't really care what they think, and none of my friends really care that I dress like a loser. Actually, the only friend that complained about my clothing is a really bad friend, haha.

I gotta disagree with rich/preppy.

I'm 16, pay for my cell phone bill, pay a certain amount for rent and utilities (not the full amount), and I buy lots of designers brands. It's just because fashion is a big part of my lifestyle, not because I'm "rich". Could I spend the thousands of dollars on other things? Yes, I could but I don't.

The Gap, Urban Outfitters (FAVORITE.), J.Crew (my 2nd favorite, possibly), Forever XXI, American Apparel shirts and hoodies, and sweatshirts when I'm feeling lazy. I also only shop for dresses at Anthropologie! A bit pricey but really unique and gorgeous pieces there. I only own 2 pairs of jeans - one normal and one skinny. I am also ballet-flat and scarf obsessed.

I am basically a good for nothing hipster.

ummm.. i'm just curious, is it normal for people to shop alone?

Ooops, sorry, when I said 'here' I meant my school. Not CC. Yeah, weird way of wording it...

I don't know anything about how CCers dress, but the overachievers at my school ARE rich/preppy.

Not at my school. The overacheivers (and I am not one) are weird...

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I'm cheap, so nearly every T-shirt I wear was free.

Depends on my mood. I usually likes jeans.

hopefully my username says something... haha but no I don't restrict myself to j.crew. I usually mix it up a lot with some edgier stuff too.
I wear nudie thin finns a lot (doubtful that any of you know.. they're raw skinny jeans) as well as diesel, a bit of 7fam etc. So I like nice jeans.. and a lot of band tees, sperry topsider madras patchwork slip ons, jack purcells, adidas superstars, other j.crew shoes, a lot of flip flops, ribbon belts, leather belts, lots of polos, sweaters, military jacket, etc etc. I have a pretty diverse style that is basically j.crew meets urban outfitters

i wear jeans or sweats depedning on mood....hollister, ae, sum abercrombie(bit too expensive)...but i gotta say fav new store is express they got sum nice graphic tees and jeans...anyone else shop at express?

shorts, abercrombie or hollister shirts, football and baseball jerseys sometimes

ihatesats2, i always shop at Express too, they have really good sales where I live, and I love their clothes, not to preppy like AE/Abercrombie, but simlply classy.

Generic department store brands and retailers like Charlotte Russe, Wet Seal, Papaya. I buy most of my stuff on sale because I don't yet have a job and my family's frugal. Pretty much all the shoes I own are ballet flats except for this one pair of sneakers.

anything clean

URBAN!!!!!!!!! Value Village/Goodwill. Target. Forever 21 & For Love. Old Navy.

Dude, I love Urban. On the day after thanksgiving, I was like, I'm going to go shopping. And I went at 5 am, by myself. I felt like a dork, and I had a soccer game in like three hours.

But then... I randomly discovered that from 6 - 8 am, Urban had a 50% off sale on all the sale items. I spent... $200!!! In one day! And the best part was getting like ten trillion things.

I wear a lot of American Eagle, Hollister, and Ruehl. I have some Gap and some Express Men's. You'll most likely catching me wearing some American Eagle though, as I used to work there. I've also recently gotten into H&M too.
