I am a sophomore and have been getting 2200+ in practice SAT 1 tests.
I am quite good I writing essays and articles too.
I don't have a lot of EC s but I do run a blog and took the initiative to start SOF olympiads in my school.
But then again, I lived in many small towns and that is a factor in my dearth of ECs.
I have taught myself how to play a guitar using internet and have picked up a little bit of html from the internet too ( pardon the blottany).
I am quite active now in comparison to my lethargic self in 9 th grade.
Do I stand a chance anywhere???
PS : I have not decided on my major yet.

Do colleges decide one’s country based on the country of origin or country of high school???

Country from where the student completed his/her high school.

Even in case of NRI s ???
In that case I will be considered an applicant from middle east or India???

Middle East as far as i know.

You made my day , codeguy!!!:):):):):)

With a 2200(if you get) I don’t find a reason why a university won’t accept you.
To further improve your app,I suggest you take SAT2 (2 generally) and if you’re academic record is pretty consistent, maybe, who knows, you could sneak into pretty good colleges.
Keep your head up and PREP.
and yes, doesn’t matter if you have less opportunities where you live;what matters is that you should use it fully.
Good Luck Man.

Thanks buddy

Bump!!!

Bump 10 char
