I currently attend Everett CC, I have an Associates of Arts and Sciences DTA , 3.51 GPA. I started Running Start my junior year of high school. I had no idea what I wanted to do with the rest of my life so I decided to just take the bare minimum in order to get an AA. I figured that as long as I had the DTA degree I could decide my major later. I was so wrong. Shortly before I graduated high school, with my degree, I finally decided what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, medicine. I don't think I could have picked a program that I am more unprepared for, but I know this is what I want to do. I have about another year of fresh/soph year science and math classes. I decided to continue on at my community college and take the science and math that I need. I intend to transfer to UW and major in Medical Anthropology (which is competitive), but I will have a massive amount of credits which I know looks bad on a transfer application. By the time I apply, I will have done lots of volunteering and will have spent a few months in a foreign country doing missions work. Do I have a chance of getting in to the UW with my GPA and a ton of credits on my transcript? Is there anything else I need to be doing, maybe my school's honors program?

I’m a WA resident. If you’re in-state, have your AA, EC’s and have the GPA you do, you’ll most likely be admitted to UW. I’ve seen high schoolers with worse grades than you get in.

But they’re weird and stingy about credits, so all of your credits may not be transferrable.

I think UW is a high match for you.
