Son applied as business major. Acceptance says Letters and Science as a Global Community learner. What does that mean?
The major he was admitted to is at the bottom of the screen.
I was accepted as a part of the global community too, its a living-learning community.

i had applied for the psychology program but when i looked at the bottom of the screen it said major: Letters and Sciences. I also got into the global community. Did I not get into the psychology program? 
I got that program too… What does it mean?? Are we going to get any scholarships? I’ve heard only a few people get accepted to it… Is that true guys?
My son is NOT international yet on the website it says a housing option for international students. He did apply to Smith but got letters and Sciences…sigh…
@cbpmom Letters & Sciences means he didn’t get into the Smith School as a major… yet. He has to complete the gateway classes and apply later on, see www.lep.umd.edu
Daughter was accepted for Spring 2106 and will probably enroll in Freshman Connection. The bottom of her acceptance letter lists her major as Communications which was her first choice and is a LEP. Does anyone know if that means she is a direct admit to the Communication department once she successful completes the Freshman Connection Program?
