<p>Also got the no scholarships letter. I definitely don't think it means we're borderline accepted. What it does mean though, is that we probably won't hear until at least march.</p>

<p>My status finally changed!! From "prelim review" since 12/10 to "being reviewed" on 2/09. I never got anything for midyear report stuff other than the "no scholarship letter" with the request for senior year grades at the bottom..</p>
<p>I'm not sure there actually is a letter sent from admissions asking for senior grades other than the "no scholarship" letter with the request for senior year grades at the bottom.</p>

<p>My son received the "no scholarship" letter and today received a letter requesting additional information. The additional info was a request for first semester grades, which he already had submitted about 1-2 weeks ago. He submitted it online and had his GC also send in a paper copy.</p>
<p>My status was updated on 2/6 to say:</p>
<p>"We received the fall grades we requested, and require no additional information at this time. We will mail decisions to freshman applicants by April 1st.</p>

<p>Any clue what this means in terms of acceptances?</p>
<p>I really wish they'd take me off of prelim review since I already received the no scholarship letter and sent my grades.</p>
<p>Taxi, you and I are in the same position. What scares me is that they outright denied me of a big scholarship after doing only the prelim review, or so I believe. With that in mind, I'm not keeping my hopes up anymore.</p>

<p>No guys don't lose hope! I'm pretty sure they just select the applications with the highest scores and GPA to admit for scholarship. Plus they've only admitted 15% of the class and the majority of the applicants applied by December 1. Soo there is still hope... There are still a lot of spots open: 85%! They will get to our applications and we will move out of "preliminary review." Don't worry! It's only early February!</p>
<p>My hope is down because someone who could be a carbon copy of me stats-wise (qzar) was accepted somewhere around the 10th page, Jan 26. No lie, we have the same SAT (2080 but with diff breakdown), Hispanic, decent amount of service hours. I'm sure that the essays were a big part in determining, but they probably haven't done more than glance at mine to make sure that I did one! Maybe I'm just stressing a bit because I haven't heard back from any of the colleges that I applied to...</p>

Got the no scholarship letter, still under prelim review since 12/10.
They didn't ask for it, but I went ahead and self-reported mid-years. I still have yet to send a transcript.</p>
<p>hmm finally, an update. but i dont even have my semester grades yet...oh well</p>

Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don't receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.

<p>And guess what, I've been accepted with a Dean's scholarship. So don't lose hope people, keep faith!</p>
<p>Son's updated on 2/10 from 12/15 "We have completed an initial review ... like to see the results of the first term of your senior year." (No letter yet requesting info)
