i am hoping for a dorm that is at least close to the center of the school, so it wont be really hard to get to classes and all...and also hoping to be in an area that has alot of freshman

based on that, i know know that the traditional dorms would be the best...BUT....

i am a bit of a private person, and i would really really like to not share a bathroom with the whole floor

are there any dorms that meet my first criteria that also have either the style with a bathroom between two rooms (that would be my preference) or even maybe a small section of a floor that shares a bathroom?

Spring is good. It's really, really nice. But, a lot of athletes live there, and upperclassmen choose to live there too sometimes. But, if you have a GOOD priority date you can get in. Spring is a suite styled dorm. You share a room with one other person, and then your bathroom connects to another bedroom. So you'll only be sharing a bathroom with 3 other people. Spring is not that far from the main part of campus, you can easily take a bus to The Hub or Turlington. A lot of buses pass by Springs at every 5-10 minutes, so you won't ever be late.

If not, Beaty is a good choice. Fletcher and Sledd as well.

Beaty's not bad but the elevator breaks a LOT.

Stay away from Fletcher and Sledd.

Spring's is nice but very hard to get into. So hard, in fact, that it's almost a waste of your preference.

Lakeside is also nice but sooooooooooooo far away from class.

You might want to consider an off-campus dorm. These dorms are generally offer much more private space (attached bathrooms and kitchenettes) while still offering a friendly enviorment full of freshman.

I did a price check awhile back and they were actually less expensive than most on-campus dorms (I think it was Windsor Hall). Still within walking distance to class as well.
