i got in, but i think i made a mistake of chosing sixth college as first choice...everyone seems to think its bad? i had no idea, but right now muir sounds great. I didn't do research earlier because I didn't think it mattered...but does sixth really suck that much?

Is there any way to change colleges after admissions? And is Sixth College the easiest to get admittance to? I was just confused over these questions :P Thanks to whoever knows about or lived in sixth.

I would like to know too. i got it as my fifth choice!! The only thing about Sixth's GE that's putting me off is the practicum. Otherwise I guess I don't really mind the culture art technology stuff. We can be optimistic - it helps broaden our knowledge.

My sister goes to UCSD, and is a Revelle student. She has lots of friends who are of Sixth and love it. Muir is known as the more "chill" college at UCSD, but seriously, do not make a decision on UCSD based on the fact that you are in Sixth College. If you are seriously deciding on UCSD and want to talk to a UCSD student (she's a junior), let me know and I'll have her address make a post on these boards about it.

I'm OOS and I did the same thing as the OP - well, I tried to research, but the websites are honestly not very helpful at all.

The culture-art-technology thing seems good to me, but I'm wondering what the real deal with Sixth is, and if it's good and all that (my major is Japanese).

I wanna know what's "wrong" with sixth college too. my boyfriend was talking about how it was for the "leftovers"- people who didn't fit in any other college. i put sixth as my 3rd choice and now i'm sort of regretting it in a way.

what's GOOD about it?
and what's wrong about it?
