elmohasagun, your info is incorrect. My son is currently a UNC Soph, in-state with both parents and many other family members as grads. When he applied he had an unweighted 3.79 and we STILL did a lot of hand-wringing, waiting to see if he would get in as he was in a very competitive high school and was just outside the top 10% of his class. GPA is very important.

I would really appreciate if someone could help me realize how great of a chance I have to be accepted at UNC. I’m currently a sophomore in HS; however, I’m graduating a year early because I have already completed all my HS credits, and will take classes at a community college next year (my junior year). My GPA is 3.9 W, and ACT is a 26. I’m currently FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) Region 7 President, and will soon be running for Kentucky State President. I’m also involved in Student Council, and KUNA. How good are my chances? I know my ACT is really low, but I’m really hoping that my leadership involvement will help me throughout this process.
