do you have to get to keep your acceptance at ucla? is the minimum a B or a C?

Go look at your provisional contract. Some people have specific gpa requirements b/c they got into impacted majors.

USUALLY it will say something like "maintain your GPA" meaning they want you to keep whatever they accepted you with.

And it is definatley not a 2.0.

yeah i just checked. but what happens when you can maintain the gpa and it falls a little short?

nothing happens. A little short is not going to do anything.

well i have a 3.5 with 19 units this semester and i think i'll be getting all B's and 1 C maybe that'll be a lot?

wow...19 units of mainly B's and a possible C? That will definitely make your overall GPA drop. Honestly, there have been countless threads devoted to all of our paranoia regarding Spring GPA's and the truth of the matter is no one really knows. I would definitely try and bring up that C so you can stay at a 3.0, but I don't honestly think those grades are grounds for rescinding your admission. (IMO) :)

thanks. i dont think i'll go below a 3.0 well hopefully i dont =\ damn science classes.

this is stupid.

it says "maintain your gpa"

what if your gpa is a 3.79?!?!

that's pretty hard to "maintain" since we're already in!

what happens if i get like a 3.1-3.2?

if you get 3 Cs, D, or an F then thats dangerous territory, otherwise, you should be ok with a 3.0+
