I took Physiology on a whim because I thought it was required to take 3 years of science and I had already taken Bio and Chem my freshman and sophomore year. Even if I were to ace the final this week, I do not believe my D would raise to a C. Would colleges not accept me because I got a D in this class? My dream job goal is to become a Fashion Designer which I believe doesn’t need Physiology. My gpa is around a 3.00 and next term I should be getting A’s and B’s in all my classes which should raise my GPA slightly. I plan on applying to Stanislaus, SacState, and SJSU. Would this D ruin my chances for applying to any of these CSU’s?
There is a very real possibility schools will reject you for a D in senior year, particularly if they require 3 years of science. You need to contact each school and ask them.
It sounds like you’re a student in a California school. Your counselor should be very familiar with the admission policies of public schools
The provisional admission contract for the CSU’s usually state you need to have a C or higher in all your a-g course requirements Senior year or face being rescinded. Although you have met the CSU requirement for 2 years of Science, taking another year was your choice and you will be expected to pass the class. Are you able to withdraw from the class or drop without consequences??? I would talk to your counselor ASAP.
