What happens if you are under 13 or 12 units?

So I'm currently waitlisted for two classes, and have 10 registered units in total. It doesn't look like I will be getting off the waitlist by the end of this week (the deadline to register), so it's quite likely I will be continuing the semester with only 10 units.

What happens if a student enlists in only 10 units? From the L&S website, it says that when a first time a student does this, they will receive a first warning of the violation through email. In the second time, their registration is blocked. But what about financial aid? Will I get stripped of my grants completely, leaving me hopelessly broke and no way to pay for tuition?

I suggest that you talk to a college advisor and go to the financial aid office to discuss your current situation. From my understanding, if you do not maintain your status of a full-time student, then your eligibility for financial aid could be denied or they simply reduce the amount of financial aid money. I’m not sure.

Nevermind, I got off the waitlist. :)

I love happy endings! :)

Did you figure out what happens if you’re below the 12 or 13 units before you got off the wait list?
