<p>This is a potential scenario at my community college that could happen if I failed my calculus 2 class Fall 11. I am applying this year. So will the UC, especially UCI, deny my application if I receive a D/ F grade on my transcript for Fall 11. Will they take into consideration if I retake it during Spring?</p>
<p>I’m assuming calc 2 is one of your major requirements. If you do poorly in the class, it will do some damage to your transcript. If your drop deadline hasn’t passed yet, I suggest you drop it and take it later. What is your major?</p>

I mean getting an F in class whether is it a requirment or not show poor academic standing. Try your best, and if all else fails just drop the class and take a W.</p>
