That’s probably because most parties don’t have tons of MDMA floating around.

My college had a rave once. But there was no e. So people who don’t like raves didn’t go, and people who like raves and e didn’t go, which left people who like raves but not with e. I don’t know how many that was, but I’m going to assume a fairly small number.

@wiz- I’m a very open and highly sexual person, but I don’t find swapping spit with a stranger to be “liberating”. I find it gross. Different strokes for different folks. Just leave people be. Let people live how they want to live.

Yes because studying and attending parties are mutually exclusive.

LOLOLOLOL. This is hilarious. Yes, some people go to raves, but those are mostly rural kids in England. The closest things to raves now are dubstep shows, where everyone drops rolls and has a phenomenal time. Are you afraid of being forced into rolling or something?

Seriously though, I thought Wisconsin’s reputation as the “Berkeley of the Midwest” meant that it would be a bastion of libertine philosophy and intelligent discourse…

…but the posts in this thread tell me that I just get a bunch of druggies banging each other instead…

Four more years of HS…great… Maybe, I should transfer to BYU after all.

Look I go to a school that has a bit of a reputation for partying and while there’s a prevalent hook-up culture, it doesn’t feel like high school 2.0 at all. Just because most people think hooking up with some rando stranger who might have the clap is a fun night doesn’t mean everybody at the school thinks so.

I only know 2 ppl that go to raves and they are both in hs and into rock music but I don’t think they are into drugs…I heard mostly college and high school students go to raves.I have never been to one and don’t think I want to if there’s hella drugged out horny ppl.

The hook-up culture at my school contrasts with a school tradition of “the ring by spring.” Basically, tons of serious couples get engaged at a certain place on campus by spring of their senior year, then get married the next year. Obviously this isn’t most students, but it’s a noticeable minority.

There really are all kinds in college; just don’t get discouraged when talking to people of the opposite preferences.

in my experience, it’s different. when i have girls over, i have them over for the night and they leave in the morning… it’s pretty different from the “date” situation that most people think of, e.g. dinner and a movie. for what it’s worth, i’m a guy and i usually go to raves and house parties. the girls i’m talking to right now i feel i know fairly well, but in terms of a hookup it would be coming over for the night and maybe leaving in the morning. sometimes i take girls out for breakfast, but it always depends.

I’m currently a freshman and from what I see, most hookups occur on Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays which are a result of two people getting drunk, and eventually crashing somewhere to hook up. And from experience… hooking up in dorms can be kind of risky and awkward at times. Because of your own roommates if you’re hooking up at your place or because your “significant” other has to kick out their roommates. And of course… the walk of shame when the girl walks back to where ever she lives the next morning. Or the walk of pride for the guy LOOOOOOOOOL.

^^I heard itts best not to mess with guys that are on the same floor as you.people talk and then you’ll have a rep…I can’t wait to go to college and hopefully I’ll live on a coed floor…but I’m pretty sure I can control myself plus I bet there wouldn’t be too many guys of my race :

who the hell can’t control themselves?

I have some friends that didn’t I kinda feel sorry for her b/c she lost it to a guy she knew had a bf and only knew for a few months. And were only juniors

Why do the guys have to be of your race? I’m sure it shouldn’t matter much.

^^guys outside my race are intimiated by me plus there’s sterotypes about the women of my race…I like guys outside my race I just wouldn’t show it

^ Oh haha. I’m black but very light skinned and I’ve never dated a black guy. Currently with a white guy haha.

Wow lol I’m black too and have only asian guy friends but don’t like them like that…black guys don’t hit on me anymore since I don’t flat iron my hair

Haha what a silly reason not to hit on someone. (:
My school is very diverse, so I’m friends with almost every race.

I’m a HS Senior this year, and my girlfriend’s a Freshman in NY, and it’s going really well. We Skype everyday and text a lot. So yes it’s possible to have a mature relationship, even when that person lives 9 hours away.

So glad she’s home on break though.
