What is normal clothes for college men? What is not acceptable?

<p>I am an advocate of freedom of dress. I couldn’t care less if people wear nothing but their undergarments.</p>

<p>Anything that’s not overly revealing or offensive should be fine for college.</p>

<p>It’s not acceptable for a college man to wear athletic wear from his days as a high school boy. You’re immediately pegged for a freshman if you do as a freshman and beyond the first year it’s obvious that you haven’t moved on and made your own life as a college student.</p>

<p>The proper brands depend on where you go. At some schools anything less than Brooks Brothers and Ralph Lauren is acceptable, at others Abercrombie is considered nice.</p>

<p>i was serious about boat shoes, they’re pretty popular. but honestly don’t wear something you wouldn’t normally be comfortable wearing. I don’t think brand really matters, just look decent with a few polo’s, t’s, hoodies, and some nicer things like a cardigan v neck button downs etc</p>

<p>Boat shoes are great… just be sure to let the rest of the outfit go well with them.
Ex: don’t wear boat shoes with sweatpants. </p>

<p>Wear a plain tee shirt with chinos to go along with boat shoes.</p>

<p>1) you’re going into college, and you can’t master simple subject/verb agreement. and it’s sad.</p>

<p>2) it really depends on the school. like nulli said, some schools guys wear ralph lauren and brooks brothers and whatnot, some schools you’d be better off staying away from that. it would really help if you told us what school you’re going to</p>
