April 6, and no decision here either. Dodgerblue, you're like my wait buddy.

What makes this especially frustrating is the fact I applied in OCTOBER. Wayyyyy before even the scholarship deadline. And I also went all the way to NYC to have a 15 minute interview.

Have you tried calling roadrunner? I seem to get no where at all everytime I call.

All I can say is this better be worth the wait, although I highly doubt it will be. I still can't log onto explore or rsvp.

OK. Just called. Got my decision. I was rejected. And boy, was I furious. They made me wait THIS long to reject me (and even longer if I hadn't called??)

But that's in the past. Here's the way to beat the system:

I told them that the only time I can fly out to LA to visit is THIS weekend, and that I'm about to purchase the tickets ($700!!). I told them that I'm well aware that it's against their damn policy to give out decisions before April 10, but I also told them that I don't give a ****. I demanded my decision now, because by Monday it'll be too late.

"Let me speak to the superviser. Or you pay $700."

They told me.

Damn that sucks. I'm probably in the same boat as you though. At least you finally got somewhere. I was actually thinking of doing the exact same thing. Telling them I need to buy plane tickets before they are too expensive and they are holding me up. I am definitely writing a letter to the dean after this experience. I'm curious to see what they tell me.

dodgerblue, I'd say keep calling, I was lucky enough to get someone to give me an answer and it looks like roadrunner did too after a nice rant. Just tell them how it is, you have a decision to make and without their answer it's impossible to see the whole picture and they are really hamstringing you by still not giving you a decision.

Another option is to try getting your GC to call on your behalf & see if they will give the info to the GC--at this point it may be worh a try.

Dodger, what are your stats?

They are on the first page of the thread. I haven't seen 1 person with stats similar rejected, so I don't understand how I could be rejected.

Unfortunately, college admissions have gotten so random that anything could happen.

You can call the admissions counselor for your area if you have questions about your application, admissions status or any issues related to these. It's divided by geographic area. Good luck!

April 7, and still nothing. At this point I don't even care anymore. USC went from being one of my top choices, to out of the running. I don't want to go to a school that will cost me a small fortune and can't even get me my decision on time when I applied 2 1/2 months before the deadline.

Perhaps something got lost in the mail...

Doesn't seem you'd have anything to lose by contacting the admissions counselor for your area in the post I listed above. Things CAN get lost in the mail--it has happened to me before.

My daughter's acceptance packet was returned and we got a call from the admissions office verifying our address (they were off by one number), the strange thing was she recieved other things prior to the packet. We did not try to call, however, so I don't know what they would of said before they got the packet returned to them.

USC sent me somebody else's fin aid letter thing (i think her last name was right behind mine) so yes, they can mess up...

Saturday the 8th-Nothing. What a mess. I guess I'll have to call Monday. It'd be nice to get a decision before May 1.

As I suggested in post #30, please call your USC Admissions Counselor
It's divided by geographic area. Good luck!

That's probably the best way to get a response. You could send an e-mail today & who knows maybe get a response--leave contact info so they can call you via home, cell and/or e-mail.

I still havent gotten my decision yet... how totally lame...
I'm sorry, but now this is getting funny - I got accepted to Harvard, but it seems I'm getting rejected at USC? how random is that!!

(not being arrogant, I'm just pointing out the randomness of college acceptances!)

I'm an international applicant. I called them on friday, and the lady said my decision was mailed on thursday. And I was able to login Explore USC today, but still not for Events RSVP - Authentication or OASIS. Is this normal? Should I call them to verify my acceptance and to activate my OASIS account?

Dodgerblue, if you don't get accepted to USC, where are you planning to go?
