What should high-schoolers do that summer before college?

I would like to know if it is actually better to take the summer before college of or take some classes to be prepared. I want to do well in college and not be left behind. Does anybody have an advice for me?

I believe students should do avariety of things before entering college. First of all traveling throigh out the owlrd i believe will be helpfull to widen his cultre and prespective of the current situation world wide. After doing tis for a month i believe it could be plesant to settle a gap year in a foreing country like frnace or a plce in europe where you can get the chance to learn a new language.

Learning how to spell isn't a bad idea either...

LOL don't be mean bperboy. She maybe has ESL

Oh yeah you are right but the kids will need money to do that. By the way I think that if you can , it is better to go to one place and stay there for 6 months to learn the language and emerge yourself in the culture instead of going everywhere. For ex: Mac ask where did you live for 6 months not where have you being during the pass 6 months

This whole taking classes before college thing...is this because of the CC skewness toward overachieving? Or am I just a slacker?

nowadays science/enginnering majors are mostly asians. average asian freshmen know a lot more about maths than their american counterparts. and if they are from china, they probably know more maths and physics than you will learn in your lifetime.

so if you are studying science/engineering, study 2-3 maths books, 1-2 physics books, and learn at least one programming language during the summer, otherwise the asians will seriously outperform you.

I never took any college classes before I started college, and I'm doing alright. I don't think you're a slacker, lol. Personally, I am really glad I had a great summer off and did some really fun things with my mom and best friend before I left for school. I haven't had a summer without school since then, so it was a really good idea for me (I have six weeks off this summer and I am REALLY excited about it!)

Work out and go shopping for impressive clothes. ^^
