please elaborate on your situation

oh ya, thank you
im now at grinnell college, and want to transfer to universities raging from harvard to northwestern. my current gpa is 3.4 (i know its ver low… but i think i can get two 4.0 next two semesters, so that my total gpa wounldnt be too bad).
some volunteer work
intend double major in economics and math
my sat was 2000, but i will take it again, hopefully i can get 2100-2300

You should do what interests you, fits your passions and/or your needs. If you need to work to make $$… you should do that. If you can intern or get paid position related to your major… that’s nice but not necessary. If you usually pursue extra curricular interests in the summer (arts, sports, whatever), you should do that.

I would not advise spending it perfecting your tan . But anything which fits you and is productive in some way is good.

There is no formula for this, and what you do in one summer will not have an overarching effect on the outcome of your applications.
