UVA’s McIntire is a top undergrad business school, so I’d pick UVA.

you can’t go wrong with either school, if you like the city environment and internship opportunities choose NYU, if you like the suburb environment and all the facilities and events UVA offers choose UVA, if it comes down to price than choose UVA

They are both very close but I would choose UVA comm school over stern. (If you can get in NYU stern you probably have no problem getting into the comm school)

One benefit of McIntire is that when you go to look at grad schools you will have preference at Darden. UVA is very partial to their alum. I know that the Law School reserves a large number of seats each year for the alum. And from what I have been told Darden is the same.

Visit each school and see which one gives you a better vibe. You need to make sure you will be happy for the next four years. Also, think long term…which one will afford you more opportunities in the long run. I do not know much about NYU Stern so I can’t give you any good input in that area. But, I have friends who were in the Comm school at UVA that received some great offers after graduation in spite of this recent economic recession.
