and being freed from some boring classes with APs…~~~the scores just came out!!

leaving home, I was never a big fan of year round heat

Total independence,makin my own decision<n of=“” course=“” being=“” accountable=“” to=“” 'em=“”> makin so many friendz.</n>

I wish I could be given a substantial monetary award every time someone mentioned “independence” or a concept relating to it in this thread (or in discussions of a similar theme). I would be so rich.

Having an awesome social life where you don’t have to be at home at a certain time. Freedom to drink as much booze as I want and get plastered with friends. Greek Life.

I do miss my parents but not their rules.

sithis lol hw u wishd huh…

I love how no one is saying, “the food.”

Probably because nobody who’s posted here goes to Virginia Tech, which supposedly has the best food of any school in the US :P

What?? where

Debt and inevitable white collar poverty

to be able to eat real new york pizza and ice cream sandwiches. omg ice cream sandwiches; i haven’t had those in forever. they don’t have those where i live … oh yea and real hot dogs

and to be intellectually challenged as much as possible

^^ Sure, the USA is not what is depicted in a lot of movies, but I think any International Student will find it to how they anticipated it.

Meeting new and interesting people.
Being challenged intellectually.

I can’t think of anything great about college. Its just class, bad food, some entertainment that I would do regardless of being in college, and I think thats pretty much it.

I already live pretty self-sufficient with my mom so I can’t really look forward to freedom since I practically do WHATEVER I want to do.

The brains. =)

No, seriously. I can actually hold intelligent conversations with maybe the top 75% of the surrounding people, as compared to <1% at my old location. =O

@kaekae : on the phone…

people
PARTIES
freedom
independence

Limitless possibilities and opportunities
…and getting the heck out of CA

I actually prefer the food at school to the food at home. My mom only cooks like four meals.

my mom only cooks rice and maybe like some good stuff like twice a month.
most of my summer money is spent at mickeys.
