What's this school like?

I’ve posted on the older board but apparently it’s closed so…
How’s this school?
Is there any influence from the SAIC probation thing?
How’s the criticized infrastructure?
I’m getting more inclined to U Tennessee Knoxville now, for
the rank from u.s.news is equal and I don’t hear neither of them anyways.
Also I’m an asian kid and wondering how the famous racial discrimination
in there like.
I would really really appreciate if anybody’d tell me SPECIFIC pros and
cons, many people as well as books and boards says “The
school’s nationally recognized blar blar blar…etc”
but somehow NO SPECIFIC.

Thanks SO MUCH for your enormous help!!

wondering what this school is like also

I've just started as a freshman from this semester.
I'm majoring Molecular Biology.
If you wanna know anything, just post or email me.
Always happy to help.

War Eagle!

cool. how do u like it so far? is it very diverse race wise? what is there to do? is it easy to make friends? how are the academics? thanks.

Well, life in Auburn is not too shabby.
But if you are used to big cities, you may gonna get
bored soon.
Mostly what you do in here is to go to one of those bars that
play country or classic rock, which I don't like.
Or party.
Atlanta is an hour and a half away, so you can't go there too much.
The first month, when I didn't know many people,
it very much sucked. no distraction.
Majority of kids are from around here and seem to know
each other.
Close-minded or/and snubby people are abundant.

Academically I'm satisfied so far.
Professors and TAs are very cooperative, and willing to
help. Students work hard to get ahead.

As for diversity, there seems to be almost none.
This is the whitest school I've ever seen.
Plus, different races don't seem to be mixing so much.
But there are people who's not like that too.
I think you're gonna have to reach out.

If you're open-minded and looking for diversity or
variety of crowds, I suggest you go elsewhere.

thank you for your input!
