As in do you travel at, below, or above the speed limit, adhere to all the traffic laws, drive defensively or aggressively, yell, honk, or flip off other drivers, tailgate, etc.

On the road, I'm the annoying person who sets his cruise control to the speed limit exactly, and blocks everyone else that wants to go 15 miles over it from doing so (albeit I always take the slow lane, so it shouldn't matter, right?).

I also always signal when merging, wave to those who let me in, and never tailgate -- indeed, I leave huge berths of room between myself and the car in front of me (especially in stop and go traffic -- I always travel slowly and arrive at the stopped cars just as they begin to move, and so never have to slow down).

I tend to also accelerate and decelerate over as much time as can physically be had -- a good 100 meters or so before a red light you can see me begin to coast (which people really don't like; everyday I do this, and they always go really fast, pass me, cut me off, and then slam on their brakes because they've just realized that there's a red light in front of them)

Anyone here drive similarly? Share your driving habits...

I was too lazy to go to driving school. So I guess it's wait-till-I'm-18-so-I-don't-have-to-go-to-driving-school.

If you count when I secretly drive, I usually go close to the speed limit and being a great driver overall. I accelerate slowly, start to brake long before I reach the traffic lights, etc. Of course, not attracting unwanted attention from the law enforcement people is a major factor.

It happened once. During a driving session with an instructor. Long story, but basically it was dark and raining so I couldn't see anything, and he told me to "merge left" when there was no left lane.

I don't have my license yet 'cause I'm scared.

aggressive is an understatement. honk, curse, tailgate if you don't get over regardless if you're going the speed limit or not, pass on the right, weave through traffic...you name it :)

I just got my license a 2 months ago. Brute force (in practice!) banished any fear that I might have felt, as I had driven a solid 700 or so hours over the 5 months prior (yay I get to be errand-boy now!)

Our highways have this big concrete barrier separating the two different lanes of traffic. Very reassuring that the other people going 75 mph can't hit us, must be frightening to not have that.

Back in Russia all the drivers are maniacal (lack of any real law enforcement kind of leads to this :( ). And we have a "suicide lane" that is in the middle of the road, and allows for both directions (not a turn lane -- a driving lane :/ ) to travel in it.

Hope I never have to drive extensively there :s

I stay around 10 mph above the speed limit, and sometimes do this hypermiling trick where I accelerate up a hill and then put it in neutral going down. It's relatively safe, since I've still got steering and breaking.

I drive a good 30 mph over the speed limit, with my knees of course. However, I don't really ever know what the speed limit is because I drive blindfolded.

oh boy!! i love driving... i used to race before i decided it's too risky.

i've had a license for over 2 years now. i drive at whatever speed i feel is acceptable (usually 20 above the limit)- variables include weather, traffic, how late i am, and my mood. i usually drive with my knees or one hand. however, i'm a really good driver.
i have no problem passing in the oncoming lane (if it's allowed) if i need to. a lot of people i know are scared of doing so.

i'm not rude unless they deserve it. i once tailgated a lady, intending to follow her home because she nearly killed me. she pulled over on the highway, so i pulled over next to her and put my window down, but she took out her cell phone so i bailed.

i signal all the time, because i drive fast and want other drivers to know my intent.

i used to work late at night and come home at 1-2am on this strip of deserted highway. the fastest i've gone is 115 and i've got a pic of the speedometer on my phone to prove it lol. i drive a crappy old little ford usually, but i had borrowed my dad's honda that night.

i recently got my license, but I've driven A LOT because school is 20+ miles away.... actually everything is at least 20 minutes from my house.

I rarely go 5 mph over the speed limit, but I rarely drive EXACTLY the speed limit. I've just realized that I really really like speeding on country roads, but the fear of getting a ticket prevents that. I always signal. I usually follow all the traffic laws. I drive defensively. I've never shown any outward signs of road rage, but I often pretend like i'm carrying a conversation with the annoying driver in front of me.

Moodrets -I am sorry, but I would hate to be behind you.

I generally go at about the speed limit, unless I am late. I am pretty good about leaving plenty of room between me and the car in front of me. I tend to spend WAY too much time in the car though, and therefore get distracted. Thus, I end up eating, talking on the phone, daydreaming, etc in heavy traffic while driving with my knees.

I speed lots even when I'm not in a hurry to get somewhere. Going 90+ on I-95 is the norm for me...my school is 40 mins away therefore most of my friends are as well which of course causes my speeding. I also have a chronic problem of tailgating >.<. I have a radar detector though which has saved me on numerous occasions.

The other day I discovered I sit very very far on the left side of my seat for whatever reason. And I believe that is why my parking is always so much closer to the line on my side than the passangers side. Hahah god it's horrible especially since I've had to drive my father around the last few months since he cant and he has little nit picky comments about it. Speed wise I'm normally 10-15 miles over except when traffic is really horrible and I feel like obeying that part of the law. Sometimes speeding makes me go woooo I'm rebelling!
I do try to leave space between me and the car in front especially when it's raining and I always use my blinker! Umm I cant stand when people cut me off and that's normally when I start shouting obscenities :]

I drive calmly and I follow the speed limit if it's the flow of traffic, but in the areas where traveling is fast, I'm aggressive.

I speed up to go with the flow of the traffic and I try my best not to let anybody cut in. I hope I don't get into a rear end accident for being such an ass hole.

Well, since I live in a rural area, I don't really have much experience with city driving. I rarely have to deal with those things....what do you call them....traffic lights.

But anyway, I guess I'm pretty cautious. I did go 75 mph on the highway once, but that was just because I was passing a truck. I usually just play it safe. It always makes me so nervous when people come up on stop signs and slam their brakes, since I wonder if they're really going to stop.

I do usually drive about 3-5 miles per hour above the speed limit, but usually that's only outside of town. It's too easy to get tickets for such speeding in town.

I speed on the highway (+10 mph max), but other than that, I could have written this myself.
