Is this December 7 rumor true? I wondering if that's the mail-out day or receiving day. Either way, I can't believe the day is comming... so soon!

(sorry if this has been asked a million times: acceptance/reject letters come in the same envelope/size, right?)

me too pitseleh...if it comes earlier itll be a surprise but at least i wont be disappointed waiting for a letter that will only come the week after

i feel like the 7th MUST be the day they finalize decisions, as daisydukes suggested... or else they wouldn't have told us that they would know more the beginning of next week. of course that would be WONDERFUL if it was the actual mailing day....

but you know what, maybe they will get so sick of people calling that they release more info about it to all the applicants either through email or on their web site.

I've heard of Optimum Online, whoamg, but I'm from CT. They have a gatrillion commericials on TV up here. Just out of curiosity, why do you ask?

Also, if they finalize on the 7th, don't you think they could get the letters out by the 12th or 13th?
Maybe they're telling us a date that's on the late side so that if they come earlier, we'll be pleasantly surprised, and if they come later than the 15th we won't be disappointed.

yeah it seems like they should definitely be able to get them out by the 12th or so. hopefully!

yeah btlesgirl that definitely makes sense. i'm just torn between being optimistic and being pessimistc about when they send the letters ... i want to be optimistic and think they will be sent earlier, but i don't want to be unpleasantly surprised...

pk- btlesgirl is referring to what daiseydukes said:

my friend who's in princeton now was having lunch with the dean of admissions, and apparently they're doing ED on the 7th this year...i'm not sure if that means they finalize decisions by then or if that's when they start mailing...

Heh, nicely done. I didn't put my sites because I was ashamed of them ;) I should point out that the campus is likely entirely on a T3 line, so optonline wouldn't be the ISP (probably).

Hmm...if the dean of admissions told this student (the one mentioned in the post) that ED decisions will be mailed/finalized the 7th, the Princeton should be posting something very soon on their website. At least a notification.

I wish there was more conclusive information on this. All Princeton told me today was "mid december, but we dont know exactly when."
