Acceptance letters are larger.

Is the signed ED agreement a required part of the application?

yes arwen, it is required

lol, arwen u didn't have that?

omg u must be freaking out

Arwen1, call! I don't know what you should do, but I'd let Princeton know that you're ED as soon as possible if they don't know from the application. Do you know if your counselor signed the "I have discussed ED with the applicant" form? Did you mark ED on the front page of the application? In any case, don't freak out or anything, but call as soon a possible. That's my unenlightened advice.

Thanks for your concern! I'm actually worrying about my supplemental forms, which were sent with my ed agreement. I figured that if they got my agreement, theyd get my forms too, so I never bothered checking. ^_^

According to an earlier post,
"okayyy... so i e-mailed Princeton and this is what i got.
1.They will not be revealing decisions online or via e-mail
2.All decisions will be mailed through regular mail
3.If you do not receive your decision by the end of the third week of december, you can get your decision over the phone"

That would mean that acceptances are coming USPS as well....

Oh, OK. Hopefully they received everything!

please why is princeton being so difficult with their decision letters....Why cant they do it the normal way and email everyone by december 15th.
So all this hassle would stop....<sigh> :( am officially tired. I guess i will just wait for the decision to come by any means.</sigh>

Arwen1, SAME WITH ME! i called to check on my supplement forms and they would not tell me. i sent them in with my ED agreement, so i figured they must have gotten them.

apparently, you can get the "your app is complete" without sending the ed agreement in.

lol i think they would inform you if you havent sent it in...

Anyways my counselor sent it all in one package so I am sure it got to them

Arwen, where did you hear that from?

lol I sent in two different ED agreement forms.

wow...our fates will be sealed tomorrow, just thinking about it gives me shivers

well, that seems a little silly--to apply ED and have your app be "complete" without an ED agreement? how annoying!

I can see the deferral coming... or perhaps a rejection.

What I find to be so frightening about either one is that every year there are about 7000 people more qualified than you who get into HYPSM, which means that in over a four year span, there are nearly 30,000 people who are better than you. When you take a step back and see so many people, each working so hard, you start to feel so small...

DS received his deferral letter from Princeton last year on December 19th. It was very difficult waiting so long and being the very last kid in his class to receive bad news. I hope they are quicker with their letters this year, because no one should have to wait a minute longer than absolutely necessary.

Good luck to all!

Don't let it get to you (I think we all feel like that sometimes). I know that it's cliched but I'll recite the litany again "College acceptance or the lack thereof is not a measure of personal worth..." It's true (though I've never found it to relieve any anxiety). All we can do is work as hard as we can and hope for the best.

sl8r000, I think that's very nice :) .... 'cause I'm really "letting it get to me"....
