When are ED decisions sent out?

OK, going off Miss Zanna's plan...
I might tell my dad to call me at school if there's a big envelope. My school has this thing about cell phones - you get in trouble if it rings, it gets taken away, you get sent to the dean's office. But I think it'll be fun breaking the rules for something like this...just imagining the looks on teachers' faces when they find out the reason of the phone call....would they really give me detention then?

i can just see my dad telling the superintendent--hes in love with the idea of me applying to p-ton
You guys get in trouble cell phones ring--ours cant even be visible or on vibrate

yeah, same here; we aren't allowed to even carry them with us. yeah right =)

Same here, but we do it anyway.
I have cellphone conversations while our teacher is in the room though, they don't notice if you do it right.

Going back to the main topic:
You can get you parents to call the school and ask to speak to you through a school line though lol

Aww, that wouldn't be as fun!
I know!!! Maybe the office will let them come on the intercom! =)

i have a developed a highly scientific mail-checking policy hehe

rule #1: this is effective for the week from dec. 11-dec.16
rule #2: no one is allowed to check the mail except for me.
rule #3: i will open the mailbox without looking inside
rule #4: i will remove the contents of the mailbox without looking at them
rule #5: i will bring the mail into the house without looking at it
rule #6: as soon as i am in the house i am allowed to look at the mail
....then the moment of truth!

my mom made me come up with this because she told me i wasnt allowed to look at the envelope size until i got in the house. she wants to see me find out lol. so yeah.....hopefully this procedure works and im not too tempted to look at it outside :)

Isn't the acceptance envelope a 9x12 one? I don't know about your mailbox, but with mine I wouldn't even have to open it to see a 'huge' envelope. So I guess I'll just look at the mailbox each day, and if I see nothing and my mom says something from Princeton came, I can just throw it away and click 'Submit' on my Stanford app :P

lol -- isn't that DUE the 15th?????

I heard somewhere that sometimes acceptance envelopes are small and just have one sheet of paper that say CONGRATS, the rest of our packet is coming within the week, or something like that, because supposedly it takes longer to mail the 9x12 envelopes.

So I don't think anybody should freak out if they get a small envelope at first because Princeton might do this for some states or regions or for everybody...or for nobody.

lol that would be funny if we rip it up before opening it because we think it's a deferral/rejection letter

and then we'd never know XD

What Does Xd Mean?!?!

My MIT-applying is friend is lucky - he gets his by the 9th or so.

pton calls intl students to inform the decision... anyone has an idea when they would call? I hope we get to know before Dec 15.

we will miss the mail opening fun, though.

XD is a laughing face.

this is my system, one phone call = rejection, two phone calls = defferall, three = acceptance! i am going to sitting in class mumbling come on, come on, COME ON- waiting for more calls!

Wow, if I was your classmate I'd be prank calling you on a restricted number the whole day! :D

lol... i'm already trying that out on my classmates.. ;)

lol...i would see on caller id that it isn't my mom so i would know not to pay attention to it

you mean they inform international students by phone?

i wonder how long does it take for Princeton to send the mail to China...
How i wish there is an online checking system...
