hahaha. umm about a week ago. when i finally started looking at decent colleges and realized that i did NOT want to go to a cal state anymore. even tho thats all i had applied to. and im a senior. so kids. what have we learned? at least think about college junior year. lol.

OKay…so I realize that I’m about 5 years late but oh well.
I’m a sophomore now.
It started my freshman year but once 10th grade hit, I was completely addicted and still am. Surfing the web to search up everything there is to know about the colleges I want to apply to and college admissions has become a hobby that I enjoy. Seriously, I love it. I don’t know why. I know it is unhealthy but I can’t stop. And the other day, I asked my boyfriend to finish up on the computer soon( we were at my house) because it was college time. He thought I was joking and tried to tell me that I was obsessed but I couldn’t help but throw a tantrum and deny it…
Anyway, to all of the freshman and sophomores on college confidential right now: get out while you still can. I’m not saying don’t think about college or put off studying and what not, but don’t become like a lot of us on here, hell, even middle schoolers: obsessing over college that is years away. You see how sick we are :P

last thanksgiving…when my senior son informed me that he had just applied to a private school with a $41,000 tuition rather that the state school he had been planning on for a couple of years with a $6,000 tuition. ever since then, it’s been damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead. he was accepted but we are full pay. he was accepted. we are full pay so now i have to get in gear myself. i love the school he picked.

Sophomore year when I started visiting schools and learning about their music programs. I’ve been researching ever since and I’m a senior now. I’m not as obsessed with college than I am about, say, glam bands or British comedy, but it’s another one of those things that’s often on my mind. It’s kind of nice though. Because of all the research I’ve done, I know exactly what schools fit my most important criteria and have applied and fulfilled all the extra program requirements. I know that I’ll be very happy attending any one of the schools I’ve applied to for music, simply because I’ve done a lot of thorough research. I’m looking forward to some acceptances within a month or so. =D
