When do I get the heartbreaking news?

So I know I'm into UT because of the top 10% rule, but when do we find out if we were accepted into a particular Honors program (in my case, Plan II)?

I know Plan II says they do "rolling admissions," so does that mean that I could find out at any time?

Thanks!

December 15

I didn't apply early consideration, though....

oh, then I have no idea

lolz, I know...I wish I had, but I'm just way too much of a procrastinator to write essays that early hahaha.

If it's not until March/April....eff.

Try and be optimistic! The news may not be heartbreaking.
As for when, though, I think it really could be any time before April 1st. =/ But, since it's rolling, it all depends on when you apply.

Optimism only leads to disappointment. However, pessimism always leads to at worst being content, and at best a greater happiness.

I applied in mid-November. Do I qualify for early consideration?

No. it was Nov. 1

From one of the Plan II webpages http://www.utexas.edu/cola/progs/plan2/admissions/early/:

"In addition to our early consideration deadline, we also conduct a type of rolling admissions. Applicants who complete application after November 1, but before the regular January 15, 2009 deadline, MAY receive an admission decision earlier than the April 1 decision notification deadline. The majority of those who complete the application in November and December will receive the Plan II response in January or February. However the only applicants with a guaranteed response date are those who complete their application by the November 1 deadline.

Plan II will mail admission notification to all applicants on or before April 1."
