When do IGETC/Prereqs need to be completed by?

Sorry, I looked this up in the FAQ thread, but I've been hearing different answers on the forum. I plan to apply in November and am taking 2 prereqs (Calc I and Stats) and 3 IGETC classes (One bio, one art, one humanities) in the fall. I presume this is okay because we mail in updated transcripts at the end of January. So by the end of fall, that will leave me with 1 prereq remaining (Calc II) and 1 IGETC class (physical science w/ lab).

Will I get dinged for not having a grade for a major prereq and an IGETC course (they don't get spring semester grades)? Applying to Haas and UCLA and a couple others.

You don’t mail in official transcripts until you are admitted to the school and you’re done with everything.

IGETC needs to be finished the spring term prior to transfer. So if you’re applying for fall 2015, you need to finish IGETC by the end of spring 2015.

^^ So will not taking Calc II (a prereq) until the spring hurt my chances?

Probably depends on your major. But most likely not.
