How did you find out?

so sorry lexii09.

if you don’t mind me asking what were your stats like.

i’m worried cause mine are not very good.

Sorry to hear that lexii09 :/

wow im sorry lexii09
admissions this year was pretty killer
apparently they had 26,000 applications, and have spaces for about 8100 freshman
so as opposed to last years 7X% acceptance rate this year its probably down to the 50’s

That doesnt leave alot of hope for transfers from other schools

Transfers are a separate category. Incoming freshmen do not displace transfers.

Sorry lexii09. You probably didn’t have a good chance because of your top 39% rank & 1000 M/CR & 21 ACT. :/

Sorry Lexi! I understand it’s hard when you go to such a competitive school. It really skews the class ranking and seems so unfair. My daughters in the same boat. Good luck to you! The school you choose is lucky to have you!

have people been admitted in the last week or so. or only rejected?

just curious, because i was wondering if the last letters to come out are rejections?

my academic stats werent the best

but I would of been 10th aggie in the family, so im really upset.
i also went to slot, a tour, admission advising.
awesome essay, very creative.
3 alumni letters of rec.
internship in job I want in future.
statement of purpose explaining my dream/why academic stats are low

so it hurt really bad to be flat out denied.
like im a hardcore alulmni, but I guess its not meant to be.

my major is nursing & I wouldnt do nursing at tamu cause you dont get the ring so I guess im just gonna go to my backup and get the degree I want first time around.

but yeahh it was a BAD day yesterday.
gooooood luck to everyonee else :]

hey lexii09, don’t stress :]

There are a lot of other universities/colleges where you can get a decent education! ORRRR Just transfer to A&M :D

lexii09, I am so sorry. I totally understand your disappointment. My son will be the 7th Aggie in our family, and we would have been so sad if he hadn’t gotten in. Did you get offered wait-list or Blinn Team? If not, DO NOT give up. If you really want to be an Aggie, work your rear end off at one of the junior colleges that A&M offers in their network for transfers. I believe if you maintain a certain GPA from these select colleges, you are guaranteed a transfer in. Both my sisters transferred to A&M after their freshman years, and they are just as much Aggies as if they had been there from the beginning.

OOS from FL and applied way back in november…still have not heard

OOS from NJ. still haven’t heard either. i guesss we will all be checking our AIS like crazy this week.

Dont get too down…I was denied as a transfer last semester b/c my first semester in college was so bad…I applied again this semester for Summer 09’…we’ll see.

Also for any transfers out there…I noticed that one year ago from this coming April 30th that A&M sent out the letters to tranfer students. So maybe around that time we’ll hear.

I hope to get it sooner than that so I can register for classes April 24th… I wonder what we’ll do for housing. Im sure all the dorms are filled by now.

ampzor, wouldn’t you have to wait until you go to a New Student Conference to register?

We toured A&M on Friday and at the Admissions session, they said that the final mailout will be this week.

ag54, what did your son think?

I just updated in the other thread.

Moral to the story - don’t go on a Friday afternoon.;)
