When does the new US news ranking come out?

As mentioned above, many times, US News has a formula to which they input numbers and get an overall score. They then rank the overall scores.

Silly lists based on your own perceptions of schools you have not attended are well, silly.

oh thomas, i just get heated =]
love ya babe

anyway, fluffhead pretty much nailed it. whether the peer ranking is useful is another story. we should all agree that our own opinions shouldn't really count!

Actually, I think it might be an interesting proposition to consider for USNWR to add a student assessment score, perhaps of their own school or their perception of others. It could be done by filtering out graduating undegraduate seniors who meet a certain GPA qualification or something...

They probably only attended one school making them rather unqualified for judging others.

right back at'cha, Pandas...:)
I agree with Knightmare...I wish they had a student assessment score that actually factored in how each student felt about the school they attended, based on how it differed from there perception before they attended and how it changed after they attended (if that makes any sense...man, I need a vacation)...

Jose, I know I'll run into ya in a couple of weeks, but what about Knightmare/Pandas? I can't remeber where you are going (Plus, I don't feel like going back to previous posts to inquire where you are attending) :D

There should be like a CC meet-up somewhere... but that may be weird.

yeahh that might be weird.

What you all need to do is... I want all of you to arrive on campus wearing a t-shirt and baseball cap with your CC name on it so that I will recognize you from these boards...lol :D

"MIT/Caltech
Columbia/Brown
NWU/WStL/Dmouth
Cornell/Chicago
Georgetown/JHU

all should be ranked ahead of duke"

Insanity.

lol

Brown tied with Columbia, and WU and NW tied with Dartmouth? LOL

Yeah and, in the process, he lambasts the school I will be attending in seven days.

"WU and NW tied with Dartmouth?"
- I see nothing wrong with this...

You see nothing wrong with Wash U in St. Louis being tied with Dartmouth and being ranked higher than Duke? What about Columbia = Brown? It's madness. :)

Devil...where are you attending? I apologize; I don't remember from previous posts.

Duke University. Sorry I should have announced myself. I come bearing a white flag of peace. :) Wow a fellow Texan! Howdy!

I like Duke's campus. I still believe Duke's overall prestige is that of Penn's and vice versa.

What part of Texas are you from?

To answer both comments...

I agree with you

Same part you're from. :)

If there was a student assessment score, Harvard's ranking would plummet and Yale would probably take #1.
