I applied right on the December 15th EA deadline, and I received my acceptance letter to the CLA on January 18th. A few days later, my status was updated on the Application Tracker. I’m from Texas and in the 11% of my class, with a 1900 on the SAT. Sounds like those of you who haven’t received a decision yet have a pretty good chance, honestly. Keep your heads up! :]

Finally, Feb 11: Your application is being very carefully considered… hope its not a rejection

So MANY people just got carefully considered …they think its the first round of rejections or waitlist…but on other threads from last year people were being accepted Around the 20th of feb…i wonder if they send out all rejections right at the end along with waitlist? would they reject someone this at this time?

Well, it appears to be the first round of waitlisting. I can’t say as to whether or not they’re rejecting people yet. But I just got waitlisted for one of the colleges I applied to. However, I’m a transfer student, so the process is a little different for me.

Son’s status said on February 4: Your applications is being carefully considered.
He received his acceptance letter, dated February 7, in the mail yesterday, and last night the status changed to Congratulations! It is interesting that they don’t change the status until days after the letter goes out, but son is on cloud nine (finally!).

These are painful to read as my application tracker hasn’t changed yet and also that most of these people recently getting mail have been out of state.

my cousins application just changed to carefully considered ( 11th) …before it was the “your app is complete…blah”

glassxkiss…i think transfer is different…last year rejections and most wait list for freshman were sent out the last last week of feb

HockeyMOM —Congrats to your son! what was status before the “carefully considered”

Mine was “your application is complete” to “your application is being carefully considered” and the packet came last night and the tracker changed to “congratulations” this morning.

sowhat456 - status before the “carefully considered” was “your application is complete and ready for review.” For about 3 months, actually.

HockeyMOM do you think this could be an acceptance since rejection are sent literally at the end of the month? he got his considered message on the 11th

ready2011–how long did it take to get the letter?

My status changed to “carefully considered” on the 4th and someone told me that when it changes you get your decision within 7 days. I received the envelope yesterday (on the 11th) but my tracker didn’t change until this morning. But just about 7 days on the money.

ready 2011 and everyone else on this thread …do you think its possible they already made the decision…or they make the decision with the 7 days?

Tracker changed to “carefully considering” on Feb. 4, acceptance letter dated Feb. 7, and received on Feb. 11.

Application Tracker just changed for me today. All materials received= Dec 13, 2010. Feb 17, 2011- Your application is being carefully considered. Expecting my rejection within the next couple days.

No change in status over here. Applied in July. I don’t think they are interested in carefully considering my application. I’ve been accepted to more competitive schools so I am a bit baffled. MN is losing it’s appeal quickly. You may still get in. Two friends just received acceptance letters yesterday. Hang tough. Just a quick question about your status change…do you have any idea when they update their system? I cannot figure it out. UW does it at 2am and other schools were pretty easy to figure out but MN hasn’t updated my status enough for me to figure it out.

@wintergreen2276 at least you know your rejection is coming soon :/

Hi, guys, mY recent status is “your application is being very carefully considered”. I have no idea about it. Does anyone got an rejection and your application status also showed that message? But there are a lot of international transfer applicants from China getting an offer after it showed:“your application is being very carefully considered”. So let’s just pray…

“February 17, 2011: Your application is being very carefully considered.” - Just got this message. How long until I receive a decision?

“February 17, 2011: Your application is being very carefully considered.” …me too
