No. In one of the packets they mention financial aid and say that if it wasn't included in your folder it will arrive at a later date or they will call you. Can't remember the specifics but it was something of that nature.

hmm i got the university day thing for stern but i haven't gotten my official letter yet. i'm in michigan so i guess it may be a day or too longer.

I live in NY, got rejected from two ivies and another good school. I need some good news from NYU, or i will feel like i really over estimated my academic strength

Cas packet in MA today (invite 2 wks ago)

yep, MA came today :D

I don't know why you haven't gotten your letter yet. My sister's came LAST Friday or so, and we live in Arkansas, which is pretty darn far away from NYC.

Nothing from Stern today

are rejected letters being sent as well?

another day, still nothing
im in GA

it appears acceptances go out first, then rejections... also i haven't hear of anyone getting accepted without an invite from my area

Cas reception received a while ago
invite to local (king of Prussia) thing came earlier this week.
AND TODAY THE BIG PACKAGE CAME
no financial aid info, I called the FA office and they said they hoped to have them out next week. No online info and they wouldn't give me any info on the phone.
Basically my son would need a HUGE grant or scholarship to go to NYU. EFC is 12K. Max Stafford (3.5) and Perkins (4) and Work study (3.5?) would be about 11K. So there is a large gap to fill up to the COA. I flatly refuse to take out 25K in loans per year or to cosign on such a loan for him.

That's strange you didn't et your FA info. My son's came as part of his admissions packet.

They might be missing a part of your fin. aid. application. Like a verification form, or noncustodial parent form. That's what happened to me with another school.

I got a letter 2 weeks ago about a problem. Turns out they had typed my son's ss # into their system wrong. It had better be here next week. But unless he gets serious scholarship grant money (like over 25K of it), he's going to the school that I can afford to send him to - Rutgers as an out of state student. No cost to me over the 12K efc. Oh yea, there's the cell phone bill, pocket money, new underwear, etc...

He'll eat well freshman year. I'll be on the noodle diet.

received my application today for NYU Stern

waitlisted

GPA 94.7/100 not sure uw or weighted
sat 1390
SAT 2 Math 2 760, French 690

got an official letter of acceptance today here in SoCal..

now gotta work my financial stuff...

Ugh, I still haven't gotten anything. Maybe it's because i live all the way down in NC?

My son got his in NC on Thursday, but that was for Gallatin. Don't give up!
