Any acceptances today (monday)?! Pleaaaaaase say yes! haha

I got waitlisted today. Now.... *** am i supposed to do w. it. Says they will respond btw May 1st nd June 5th. Duz that mean i cant accept any offers until i hear from them.. resulting in my losing all my offers??

^ughh i hate how colleges do that!

ANY ACCEPTANCES TODAY? So far, it just seems like waitlist/reject :(

rejecteddddddddd

ilyasaber14: it means you should still turn in the deposit for the school you would go to in case nyu rejects you in the end. if you are accepted later, then you just lose that money you deposited. i hope that made sense lol.

omggggg :( this is looking bleak..

rejected too

OMG the mailman just pulled up to my house...

omggggggggg diehldun A;DSLFKJ;ALKJDSLKJADF

LOL @ dawn

i bought gummy bears on my way home from work so that when i got rejected i would feel better. they are sooooooo good :)

Decide which university you want for the next four years that has offered you admission. Sign up for it before the deadline. If you decide to accept NYUs offer to waitlist-know that its like winning the lottery-highly not probable. Then if you get accepted by NYU, you can decide whether you want to take them up on their offer, or stay with the one "you are with".
It seems like this has been a very rough year for the students-my child has being experiencing the same "disbelief" syndrome...try to breathe, and take one step at a time.(((HUGS))) a mom.

wow... did not get into NYU. I had really thought Stern would have been a match (basically entire family went to NYU).

At least I got into Cornell. But today is not a good day for me.

awwwww.. i'm so so sorry to hear that :(

its okay diehldun, i thought Stern was a match for me too because of all my business-concentrated ecs

waitlisted
central NJ
SAT I 2360
SAT IIs 800, 780, 740
~top 10%
thought i had good recs, essays, ecs, etc

seeing the stats of kids who did not get in....wow..I wonder what the pattern is for those that got accepted

geographical, alphabetical, if they just filled up spots before they got to everybody and then stopped, you know accepted alot early in the RD process, interesting year I must say

My D will probablly get her rejection today, but a few kids from her school got in with much less interesting portfolios of scores, activities, etc

Ce la vie
